{"id":949,"date":"2006-12-07T08:58:08","date_gmt":"2006-12-07T08:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.131.168.108\/wordpress\/?p=949"},"modified":"2014-01-04T03:18:27","modified_gmt":"2014-01-04T03:18:27","slug":"949","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/2006\/12\/07\/949\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: rgb(96, 24, 167);\">EDIT: So<br \/>\ntraffic&#8230;let me just tell you about traffic!&nbsp; Eastbound I70<br \/>\n(thankfully, I was heading west) was shut down just a mile past Rt.42<br \/>\nbecause a semi jack-knifed (it was BAD!).&nbsp; There was standstill<br \/>\ntraffic for MILES.&nbsp; Then at Rt. 40, there was another 2 mile<br \/>\nslowdown because they were forcing everyone onto 40 because of the semi<br \/>\nthing at 42.&nbsp; Again&#8230;thankfully, I was going WEST!<\/p>\n<p>On the westbound side, I saw numerous cars in the ditch, in various<br \/>\nstages of uprightness, and reminded myself to drive slowly, and safely,<br \/>\nwhich I did.&nbsp; Unfortunately, I then got to 72 and headed south,<br \/>\nfor about 2 minutes, when I ended up stopped for the clean-up of an<br \/>\naccident involving two vans (still don&#8217;t know how the front passenger<br \/>\nside corner of one van his the driver&#8217;s door of the other), so we were<br \/>\nthere for a few minutes (not long, thankfully!).&nbsp; END EDIT<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Random thoughts to start the day:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It snowed here.&nbsp; Not<br \/>\nlots, but enough to make people drive like idiots (more so than<br \/>\nusual).&nbsp; There were LOTS of accidents reported on the news this<br \/>\nmorning.<\/li>\n<li>As a result of the previous thought, I am waiting for<br \/>\na while before driving to CU today.&nbsp; I don&#8217;t have to be there<br \/>\nuntil 11:00, so I&#8217;ll let most of those afore-mentioned &#8220;idiots&#8221; get to<br \/>\nwork before this &#8220;idiot&#8221; goes out!<\/li>\n<li>I tried a version of<br \/>\njennikim&#8217;s crockpot potato soup for dinner last night.&nbsp; It worked<br \/>\nreally well.&nbsp; I put a can of cream of onion soup in (because<br \/>\nthat&#8217;s what I had).&nbsp; YUMMY!<\/li>\n<li>Yesterday was a long, tiring day.&nbsp; <\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Classes<br \/>\nat 11 &amp; noon.&nbsp; I had to talk about spelling.&nbsp; We got out<br \/>\nearly.&nbsp; I refuse to lecture for 45 minutes on spelling rules.<\/li>\n<li>Conferences<br \/>\nfrom 2-4:30. (I was supposed to be done at 4:00, but I was running late<br \/>\nand didn&#8217;t start my last student until 4:00&#8230;and he took a LONG time!)<\/li>\n<li>Stopped<br \/>\nfor gas on my way home (in S. Charleston).&nbsp; Stopped for groceries<br \/>\non my way home (in London). Got home about 5:50.&nbsp; Then supper,<br \/>\ncleaned up, headed to the chuch just after 6:30.<\/li>\n<li>Rehearsal from<br \/>\n7:00-9:00 (it went a little long).&nbsp; It did not go very well.&nbsp;<br \/>\nThe choir doesn&#8217;t know their music\/words.&nbsp; The drama doesn&#8217;t know<br \/>\ntheir lines.&nbsp; The extras don&#8217;t know their blocking (because last<br \/>\nnight was our first night on stage).&nbsp; The tech stuff is<br \/>\noverwhelmed.&nbsp; We still need people to help with the tech stuff<br \/>\n(anyone want to come run a spotlight for me?)&nbsp;&nbsp; Then on top<br \/>\nof it all, Pastor changed the schedule for Sunday morning&#8230;causing all<br \/>\nsorts of consternation and frustration.
