{"id":837,"date":"2007-06-01T13:38:10","date_gmt":"2007-06-01T13:38:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.131.168.108\/wordpress\/?p=837"},"modified":"2014-01-04T03:16:22","modified_gmt":"2014-01-04T03:16:22","slug":"837","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/2007\/06\/01\/837\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font style=\"font-weight: bold;\" size=\"6\">I&#8217;m BAA-ACK!!<\/font><\/p>\n<p>WE arrived home last night at 9:45.&nbsp; I was up this morning at 8:00 am, and I would&#8217;ve posted, but for some reason our internet didn&#8217;t work.&nbsp; Eric didn&#8217;t have it back up until I got back from grocery shopping.&nbsp; So it&#8217;s late, but it&#8217;s something!<\/p>\n<p>Just for fun&#8230;some random observations from my travels:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It drives me nuts that so many hotels do not have free internet.&nbsp; Especially the expensive ones.&nbsp; I can get free internet access at the Holiday Inn, but not in Vegas&#8230;sheesh!<\/li>\n<li>It gets a tad boring looking at rocks and holes in the ground for 10 days.<\/li>\n<li>Vegas is not that fun if you don&#8217;t drink, gamble, or enjoy looking at pictures of mostly naked women.<\/li>\n<li>Bellagio&#8217;s fountains are truly the best part of Vegas.<\/li>\n<li>My favorite national parks in order of most to least favorite<\/li>\n<ul>\n<li>Arches &#8211; neat visuals, fun hike<\/li>\n<li>Zion &#8211; Water in the canyon = trees, grass, vegetation, waterfalls<\/li>\n<li>Grand Canyon\/Bryce Canyon &#8211; a tie here, neat spectacle, too many people<\/li>\n<li>Canyonlands &#8211; the hike (in the desert) was the best part<\/li>\n<li>Capitol Reef &#8211; NOT worth a trip by itself, but we just drove through it anyway.&nbsp; It&#8217;s on the way between Canyonlands and Bryce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<li>Utah, Arizona and Nevada are really just long, open, boring stretches of land with NOTHING around except large monoliths of rock (mostly red).&nbsp; There is literally a &#8220;town&#8221; maybe every 50 miles, usually with no services there.&nbsp; <\/li>\n<li>It is SOOO good to be home!!!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Anyway, I&#8217;ll do some pictures and details next week. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m BAA-ACK!!
