{"id":836,"date":"2007-06-04T09:32:54","date_gmt":"2007-06-04T09:32:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.131.168.108\/wordpress\/?p=836"},"modified":"2014-01-04T03:16:22","modified_gmt":"2014-01-04T03:16:22","slug":"836","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/2007\/06\/04\/836\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p><font style=\"font-weight: bold;\" size=\"4\">It is SOOO good to be home!<\/font><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s what I kept thinking all weekend long.&nbsp; It was a great feeling to wake up in our bed in our house.&nbsp; Ahhhhh!<br \/>The weekend was not terribly exciting, though (thankfully!).&nbsp; We both just goofed off on Saturday.&nbsp; I can&#8217;t even remember what we did.&nbsp; Oh no&#8230;wait&#8230;yes I can.&nbsp; We did very little until about 5:00 when we met my parents for dinner at a Chinese restaurant on the east side (Hunan House).&nbsp; We had a good time just laughing and hanging out with them.&nbsp; We watched <span style=\"font-style: italic;\">Oceans 11<\/span> when we got home&#8230;Vegas seems to create a desire to see that movie!<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;re dog-sitting again (for a friend, not for Karen), so we have a big fluffy mutt named Noah hanging around with us for the week.&nbsp; I picked him up on Friday, and he&#8217;ll stay until next weekend.&nbsp; He&#8217;s not a very rambunctious dog. He&#8217;s mostly laid in front of the front door staring out through the glass at the neighbors.&nbsp; I think he&#8217;s settling in a bit more now, though, because he finally ate something (yesterday) and he&#8217;s started to &#8220;talk&#8221; at us when he wants something.&nbsp; Of course, I have no idea what his whining\/noises mean&#8230;but that&#8217;s okay!<\/p>\n<p>I thought I&#8217;d do more pics from our trip for you this week&#8230;now that I have time to really find good ones to show you.&nbsp; So today will include the pics from our driving and our first national park.&nbsp; Enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>We begin with out entrance into Utah.&nbsp; Colorado wasn&#8217;t very exciting (except for the snowstorm in the mountains), so here&#8217;s what Utah looked like from our car. &nbsp;As you can see&#8230;it&#8217;s long, flat and boring!<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/photo.xanga.com\/shannahhogue\/5bef3126692500\/photo.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Utah1\" style=\"border-style: none; border-width: 0px;\" src=\"http:\/\/x5b.xanga.com\/ef3d754222130126692500\/z91887356.jpg\" width=\"314\"> &nbsp; <\/a> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/photo.xanga.com\/shannahhogue\/c088f126692503\/photo.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Utah2\" style=\"border-style: none; border-width: 0px;\" src=\"http:\/\/xc0.xanga.com\/88fd6b7579732126692503\/z91887359.jpg\" width=\"314\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We took a scenic road to get to Moab, where we stayed from Tuesday to Friday morning. &nbsp;It was evening here.<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/photo.xanga.com\/shannahhogue\/5ffdb126692510\/photo.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Utah3\" style=\"border-style: none; border-width: 0px;\" src=\"http:\/\/x5f.xanga.com\/fdbd7a7a22333126692510\/z91887364.jpg\" width=\"314\"><\/a>  <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/photo.xanga.com\/shannahhogue\/d49e5126692516\/photo.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Utah4\" style=\"border-style: none; border-width: 0px;\" src=\"http:\/\/xd4.xanga.com\/9e5d837529035126692516\/z91887369.jpg\" width=\"314\"><\/a>  <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/photo.xanga.com\/shannahhogue\/fb521126692522\/photo.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Utah5\" style=\"border-style: none; border-width: 0px;\" src=\"http:\/\/xfb.xanga.com\/521d6a4122232126692522\/z91887375.jpg\" width=\"314\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday morning, we went to Arches National Park. &nbsp;You saw a couple of shots from there last week, but here&#8217;s the entrance sign and some of the shots I took from the car as we drove into the park.<\/p>\n<p> <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/photo.xanga.com\/shannahhogue\/ab75d126692531\/photo.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Utah6\" style=\"border-style: none; border-width: 0px;\" src=\"http:\/\/xab.xanga.com\/75dd677b22c33126692531\/z91887382.jpg\" width=\"314\"><\/a> &nbsp;  <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/photo.xanga.com\/shannahhogue\/55c4f126692542\/photo.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Utah8\" style=\"border-style: none; border-width: 0px;\" src=\"http:\/\/x55.xanga.com\/c4fd6b7423732126692542\/z91887390.jpg\" width=\"314\"><\/a>  <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/photo.xanga.com\/shannahhogue\/9de9b126692559\/photo.html\"><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Utah9\" style=\"border-style: none; border-width: 0px;\" src=\"http:\/\/x9d.xanga.com\/e9bc127530434126692559\/z91887406.jpg\" width=\"314\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Next we took a 6-ish mile hike to see the various arches. &nbsp;This first one is called Landscape Arch. &nbsp;The second picture is the view from that bridge that I had trouble getting over. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.xanga.com\/images\/whatevah.gif\"> &nbsp;Eric loved the view&#8230;crazy man!
