{"id":834,"date":"2007-06-06T08:57:35","date_gmt":"2007-06-06T08:57:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.131.168.108\/wordpress\/?p=834"},"modified":"2014-01-04T03:16:22","modified_gmt":"2014-01-04T03:16:22","slug":"834","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/2007\/06\/06\/834\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, when I got up and after I let Noah out, I sat down at my<br \/>\ncomputer to work on something.&nbsp; Eric came down and left for work, and I<br \/>\nwent back to my computer.&nbsp; At about 8 am, I got up to go to the<br \/>\nbathroom and had an epiphany.&nbsp; I had not made Eric&#8217;s coffee or lunch!&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.xanga.com\/images\/shocked.gif\"><br \/>\nI had totally forgotten, and even his leaving empty-handed didn&#8217;t<br \/>\nremind me.&nbsp; Oops!&nbsp; He, of course, doesn&#8217;t mind because Battelle has a<br \/>\ncafeteria with multiple coffee and lunch options, but still&#8230;I can&#8217;t<br \/>\nbelieve I totally forgot!<\/p>\n<p>I vaccuumed my house yesterday to stay ahead of the fuzzy dog hair that<br \/>\nNoah leaves around.&nbsp; Eric is seriously opposed to getting dog hair on<br \/>\nhis nice clothes, which I totally understand.&nbsp; But I think we can<br \/>\nmanage to keep the clothes &#8220;safe&#8221; for one week!&nbsp; I also took Noah on a<br \/>\nwalk and worked on my computer.&nbsp; I actually did work yesterday for<br \/>\nclasses and the fall.&nbsp; And I finally updated our small group website<br \/>\nfor the summer&#8217;s activities.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Today, I am going to run errands, I think: get some groceries, drop off<br \/>\nthe recyclables, maybe look for Holly&#8217;s birthday present.&nbsp; Sadly, I<br \/>\nwill also need to make cookies again today, I think, since the cookies<br \/>\nI made the other day do not taste right.&nbsp; I can&#8217;t figure out what I<br \/>\ndid, but they are not very good.&nbsp; <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.xanga.com\/images\/bummed.gif\">&nbsp; Oh well&#8230;that gives me something to do, I guess!<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, here&#8217;s part 3 of our vacation (this one is shorter!).<\/p>\n<p>Memorial Day weekend was spent at Bryce Canyon and Zion National<br \/>\nParks.&nbsp; We started in Bryce on Friday night and finished on Saturday<br \/>\nmorning, and then we drove to Zion, found a place to stay, and visited<br \/>\nZion on Sunday.&nbsp; Bryce is pretty small, so there wasn&#8217;t much to see.&nbsp;<br \/>\nIt was 95 degrees when we were in Zion, so we ran out of energy pretty<br \/>\nfast.&nbsp; And by this time in our trip, we were getting a bit bored by the rocks&#8230;so, the best part of both of these parks is the return of<br \/>\ntrees.&nbsp; There&#8217;s more water in this corner of Utah, so there was more<br \/>\nvegetation.&nbsp; Not lots, mind you&#8230;but definitely more!<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s Bryce Canyon.&nbsp; Notice the raven.&nbsp; He was huge!&nbsp; And, though the signs telling you to leave the wildlife alone were posted in MULTIPLE foreign languages, people were still feeding and bothering the animals.
