\nHow long did you date? <\/b>First Date – Nov. 2002, Dated Jan-Aug. 2003, Engaged Aug. 2003-May 2004
\n4. How old is your man? <\/b>29 (almost 30) <\/p>\n

\nWho eats more? <\/b>Him, no question.
\n6. Who said “I love you” first? <\/b>Me, I think.  We’d been dating for 3-4 months and he was driving me home one night and we just got talking about marriage (more when, instead of if) and we sat in the driveway for a while and then it got said by both of us.  But I think I said it first.  I remember the song on the radio, though (Steven Curtis Chapman’s “When Love Takes You In”) <\/p>\n

\nWho is taller?<\/b> Him (6″).  Me (5″)
\n8. Who sings better? <\/b>Probably me, but he is more all-around musical.<\/p>\n

\nWho is smarter? <\/b>We’re pretty even there (He’s a scientist; I’m a scholar), but I might have to say him.    <\/p>\n

\nWhose temper is worse? <\/span><\/span><\/b>Not sure.  My fuse is TONS shorter, but I think if pushed hard enough, his eruption would be pretty bad!<\/em>
\n11. Who does the laundry?<\/b> Me.
\n12. Who takes out the garbage? <\/b>Me.  I’m home on garbage day, so I put it out.  He brings the empty bins in when he gets home.  <\/i>
\n13. Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? <\/b>If you’re standing at the food looking at the bed, I do. <\/p>\n

\nWho pays the bills?<\/b> <\/i>He does.  Praise the Lord, he does. Budgeting stresses me out.<\/span><\/span><\/i>
\n15. Who is better with the computer?<\/i><\/b>  <\/i>Him.  Absolutely.  <\/i>
\n16. Who mows the lawn? <\/b>He does. I did it once to help him out.  <\/p>\n

\nWho cooks dinner? <\/b>Usually me. But he can cook pretty well.  And he fends for himself sometimes, too. <\/p>\n

\nWho drives when you are together? <\/b>Absolutely him.  I am a very intense driver (I yell at people), so he drives so that I can relax!
\n19. Who pays when you go out? <\/b>Usually him. <\/p>\n

\nWho is most stubborn? <\/b>Tough one.  Another one where we’re probably pretty equal.   <\/p>\n

\nWho is the first to admit when they are wrong?  <\/b>Me…I’m probably over-sensitive to things between us. I just keep thinking…”It’s not a big deal today, but 20 years of this behavior will destroy our marriage.” 
\n22. Whose parents do you see the most? <\/b>We see mine more often for shorter stays, his less often for longer.  <\/p>\n

\nWho kissed who first?<\/b> He asked me.  I agreed.  We kissed.  It shook my world.  I was trembling when he stopped.  Still love that kiss!  (BTW…he’s a brass player, so he has strong lips!)<\/em>
\n24. Who asked who out?<\/b> He asked me out for a double date near his birthday (I was set up).  For our first official date, he asked me to a movie that I’d told him I wanted to see again.  So I opened the door, he got the hint.
\n25. Who proposed?<\/b>   Most definitely him.  Karen & I had just gotten home from Estonia (in Europe) on Monday.  We’d been gone for two weeks.  I knew the proposal was coming, but didn’t know when.  But I did figure no man would waste two weeks when his girlfriend was gone to talk to parents, buy a ring, etc.   Anyway, Karen & I hosted a bridal shower on Thursday night, and on Friday (Aug.1), Eric & I went for a hike with a picnic dinner at a Metro Park.  I was telling him how all the girls were whining that their boyfriends were NEVER going to ask them to marry them and how silly they all were.  He said, “So is all this marriage talking making you not want to get married?”  I said, “Of course not!”  So, he pulled the ring out of his pocket and said, “Then you might want to put this on.”  We were on a cute little bridge, where he asked more “officially”, though he didn’t get down on one knee.  But I didn’t care!  Of course, I happily agreed and we spent some time sitting on a bench watching the ring sparkle in the sun and enjoying the moment.  Then we finished our walk and took our picnic lunch home to eat because the mosquitos were so bad that night!<\/p>\n

\nWho is more sensitive? <\/b>Me.  Definitely me.
\n27. Who has more friends?<\/b> I’m not sure.  We both have a similar style of friendship, so we tend to have an average number of friends, but only a small number of really good ones.  <\/p>\n

\nWho has more siblings? <\/b>We both have 2 (he has brothers, I have a brother and a sister).<\/p>\n

\nWho wears the pants in the family? <\/b>Perhaps surprisingly…I’d say he does (metaphorically speaking, of course).  But he’s an incredibly self-confident man, so having a type-A, overachieving wife, whose version of submission would probably mortify some good Christian women, doesn’t bother him at all.  And I respect him so much that it’s not usually hard to let him lead.  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
