{"id":723,"date":"2007-11-20T08:34:00","date_gmt":"2007-11-20T08:34:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.131.168.108\/wordpress\/?p=723"},"modified":"2014-01-04T03:14:43","modified_gmt":"2014-01-04T03:14:43","slug":"723","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/2007\/11\/20\/723\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am having one of those days in which I don&#8217;t want to do anything.&nbsp; I didn&#8217;t really want to get up this morning.&nbsp; I didn&#8217;t want to exercise or shower or start my day.&nbsp; I just want my day to be completely open without a single requirement.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>In order to combat my malaise, therefore, and in honor of the Thanksgiving Holiday, here is a short list of some of the things I am thankful for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">My husband<\/span>.&nbsp; I cannot even begin to express how thankful I am that God brought Eric into my life.&nbsp; He makes me laugh and keeps me from stressing out.&nbsp; He loves me regardless of my &#8220;issues&#8221; and provides for me in every important way.&nbsp; How blessed I am to have him!<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">My family<\/span>.&nbsp; My parents, my brother and sister and their spouses and kids.&nbsp; Though we, like all families, have our problems, we love each other, want what&#8217;s best for each other, and bring a great deal of joy to each other&#8217;s lives.&nbsp; It is a rare thing these days to have parents who are still married and in love with each other and a family without major battles going on&#8230;I am very, very thankful.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">My &#8220;stuff&#8221;<\/span>.&nbsp; I am materially blessed, well beyond what I really need.&nbsp; A house, a car, clothes, food, money in the bank.&nbsp; I take it all for granted most of the time, so today, I choose to be thankful for it.<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">God&#8217;s love<\/span>.&nbsp; I am only just beginning to grasp the reality that God loves me, really loves me.&nbsp; That I can&#8217;t dissuade him from his love for me, and I can&#8217;t earn more of it.&nbsp; It&#8217;s already mine.&nbsp; His love for me and his goodness to me mean that the difficulties he&#8217;s asked me to face in this season of my life are for my good and for his glory, and so I can be thankful, despite the sometimes-bumpy road.&nbsp; <\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: bold;\">My Xanga friends<\/span>.&nbsp; You pray for me and each other.&nbsp; You share your lives, your laughter, your joys and sorrows.&nbsp; You all have become very special people to me, and most of you, I have never even met.&nbsp; I am thankful for each one of you today, too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Happy Tuesday!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am having one of those days in which I don&#8217;t want to do anything.&nbsp; I didn&#8217;t really want to get up this morning.&nbsp; I didn&#8217;t want to exercise or shower or start my day.&nbsp; I just want my day &hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/2007\/11\/20\/723\/\">Continue reading <span class=\"meta-nav\">&rarr;<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-723","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/723","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/4"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=723"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/723\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":2690,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/723\/revisions\/2690"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=723"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=723"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=723"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
