{"id":669,"date":"2008-02-14T07:25:45","date_gmt":"2008-02-14T07:25:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.131.168.108\/wordpress\/?p=669"},"modified":"2008-02-14T07:25:45","modified_gmt":"2008-02-14T07:25:45","slug":"669","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/2008\/02\/14\/669\/","title":{"rendered":""},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Valentine&#8217;s Day<\/p>\n<p>It really is strange that we celebrate a Hallmark holiday that was probably based on a Christianized version of a pagan sex celebration, don&#8217;t you think?&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/s.xanga.com\/images\/shocked.gif\"> It certainly gives a different perspective to think about that.&nbsp; And that the original St. Valentine was martyred either for marrying couples after Claudius outlawed marriage to fill his army ranks or for helping Christians escape Rome (it depends on who you ask!).&nbsp;&nbsp; Either one sounds questionable, though, right?
