<\/p>\nEric and I just hung out and watched television for a while last night. And he spent much of that time with his hands on my belly feeling all the movement. It is so cute to watch him get all excited when one kicks or stretches right where his hand is (and it’s pretty sure to happen these days if you just wait 30 seconds or so). He was talking to them, too. I’m glad he’s so excited about them.<\/p>\n
Of course, we also noted again how big my belly is getting. It’s just crazy. That’s less fun for me, but necessary, I guess. But if I make it all the way to 38 weeks, I have 16 more to go. And I can’t even wrap my brain around how big I’ll be by then. Yikes! <\/p>\n
I’m pretty sure I have carpal tunnel issues in my left hand. It’s quite painful at times. Of course, when I came to that place in a book I have, the suggestion that they gave (other than braces) was to try to sleep with my hands above my heart. How in heavens name am I to “try” to keep my hands above my heart while I’m sleeping?!?<\/p>\n
Anyway, I was very productive yesterday. I put the garbage out, watered the plants, cleaned the kitchen (again!), did the laundry, made cookies, made dinner, and cleaned up the kitchen (again!). And in between all those things, I even took time to do a lot of sitting. It felt really good to put my feet up and read a book for an hour or two. I need to remember to do that more often…<\/p>\n
We got new next-door neighbors a week or so ago. They are a military family who just retired after he was stationed in Egypt for the last four year. I chatted with her briefly yesterday morning. She’s been cold during the last few days, even wrapping a blanket around her shoulders to walk her son to the bus stop in the morning. I’ll bet she doesn’t leave the house come February!<\/p>\n
