{"id":318,"date":"2009-09-25T07:50:21","date_gmt":"2009-09-25T07:50:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.131.168.108\/wordpress\/?p=318"},"modified":"2009-09-25T07:50:21","modified_gmt":"2009-09-25T07:50:21","slug":"soup-recipe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/2009\/09\/25\/soup-recipe\/","title":{"rendered":"Soup Recipe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I got this one off the internet a long time ago, I think.&nbsp; But it&#8217;s a mainstay at our house.&nbsp; <\/p>\n<p>Mom&#8217;s Famous Chicken Soup<\/p>\n<p>3 c. hot water<br \/>3 chicken bouillon cubees<br \/>1 med. onion, chopped into bite-sized pieces<br \/>1 c. baby carrots, cut into bite-sized pieces<br \/>1 c. potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces<br \/>1 c. frozen peas<br \/>1 c. frozen corn<br \/>1 can cream of chicken soup*<br \/>1 can (9.75 oz) chunk chicken breast<br \/>4 slices american cheese<\/p>\n<p>In large pot or dutch oven, add water, bouillon, onion, carrots. Cook on high until bouillon is dissolved and carrots are crisp-tender. Add potatoes; cook until crisp-tender. Add frozen veggies and cook until thawed.&nbsp; Add soup.&nbsp; Add chicken and stir; heat thoroughly.&nbsp; Unwrap cheese slices and add to soup.&nbsp; Soup is ready when cheese is melted.<\/p>\n<p>*Use either a large or small can of soup.&nbsp; The larger can makes a more chowder-like soup.
