{"id":172,"date":"2010-08-04T11:29:27","date_gmt":"2010-08-04T11:29:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.131.168.108\/wordpress\/?p=172"},"modified":"2010-08-04T11:29:27","modified_gmt":"2010-08-04T11:29:27","slug":"what-a-morning","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/2010\/08\/04\/what-a-morning\/","title":{"rendered":"What a morning"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I started a post about 3 hours ago which was erased when our electricity suddenly went out. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>While I wasn&#8217;t happy about losing my post (and spending about 2 hours without AC), this will be a much better post than the first one was going to be anyway.<\/p>\n<p>The morning was pretty rough for a variety of reasons I won&#8217;t share. &nbsp;But things are looking much better now. &nbsp;Talking to my mom and sister helped a ton. &nbsp;Falling on my face before Jesus was also key. &nbsp;And having the electricity turn back on before we died in the heat\/humidity was icing on the cake.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So here&#8217;s where things stand:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The twins pulled open my file drawer when I was in the other room and started pulling out my files. &nbsp;They&#8217;ve never done that before. &nbsp;They had thrown an entire pile of my papers in a mess on the floor. &nbsp;They were thrilled&#8230;me&#8230;not so much.&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" title=\"whatevah\" src=\"http:\/\/s.xanga.com\/images\/whatevah.gif\" border=\"0\" alt=\"whatevah\" \/><\/li>\n<li>A nearby neighbor had twins recently (7 weeks ago), so I emailed her. &nbsp;The email conversation prompted me to go back and re-read my blogs from the first couple of months after the twins were born. &nbsp;It&#8217;s crazy how much I&#8217;d forgotten about. &nbsp;I&#8217;m SO glad I bother to type all this stuff out. &nbsp;Sometimes it doesn&#8217;t seem worth it. &nbsp;But then, on mornings like today&#8230;it&#8217;s incredible to read what I&#8217;d recorded about our lives back then. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Eric and I froze corn and canned peaches last night. &nbsp;It was fun to do that with him. &nbsp;We have about 2 canners worth of peaches to go. &nbsp;Hope my back and hips are up to the task.<\/li>\n<li>There was a HUGE thunderstorm here last night. &nbsp;Bigger than I remember in a long, long time. &nbsp;Thankfully, the twins slept through the entire thing. &nbsp;Unfortunately, we did not.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>At least twice in this post, I&#8217;ve had to delete all or part of the phrase &#8220;the babies&#8221; to put in &#8220;the twins&#8221; instead. &nbsp;I mean, they are totally toddlers now. &nbsp;But it&#8217;s a hard habit to break, apparently!<\/li>\n<li>Today, I really need to go to the grocery store at some point. &nbsp;And I need to iron a bit. &nbsp;And I could can some peaches or do some laundry or hang some pictures or exercise or shower or do a couple of other projects around the house. &nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>At the rate I&#8217;m going, absolutely none of those will get done. &nbsp;Oh well!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Happy Wednesday!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I started a post about 3 hours ago which was erased when our electricity suddenly went out. &nbsp; While I wasn&#8217;t happy about losing my post (and spending about 2 hours without AC), this will be a much better post &hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/2010\/08\/04\/what-a-morning\/\">Continue reading <span class=\"meta-nav\">&rarr;<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-172","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-uncategorized"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/172","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/4"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=172"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/posts\/172\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=172"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=172"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/elhogue.com\/shannah\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/tags?post=172"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
