Yesterday turned out to be a very dark day. It started with the
\nnews that a good friend’s father-in-law had died over Christmas Break
\nand ended with the news that another friend, from small group at
\nchurch, lost her sister who’d been in a car accident last week.
\nIn between was a series of stressful, stretching
\nevents\/conversations. I’m also glad that God doesn’t leave our
\nsides on days like those. It is really hard to connect with so
\nmuch hurt in a single day, but I at least know that he’s right there,
\ntoo.<\/p>\n
Today, however, seems to be a day of recovery. I’m very glad the
\nsun is out…the sun is good for my heart. And a trip to the
\nchiropractor has hopefully cleared up my back issues that started last
\nnight…so my body feels a bit better. And I slept hard last
\nnight, so my mind is a bit recovered. I’ve also gotten a few
\nthings done in my office, and I’m having lunch with a friend before I
\ngo back to Columbus to work on a project for my in-laws. Not a
\nday of cup-runneth-over kind of joy…but that’s okay. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
