Long Time, No Xanga!

Random things from my life…

  • Cleaning carpets sounds like an easy job, but it really takes a long time and a lot of effort…especially getting the living room to dry in time to watch the OSU game!
  • My husband carved our pumpkin to have a “smiley” face.  It’s the punctuation marks that turn into a . He’s so funny!  (Eric, not the pumpkin)
  • A former student who joined the army this summer dropped by to say hello on his way through Ohio yesterday.  The Army seems to be just what he needed.  It’s always good to see a student find his way in life.
  • Why is it that I can clean my kitchen 2-3 times a day and STILL not have clean counters?
  • You know it was a good idea to make the appointment when it takes the chiropracter a couple of tries to get your back to pop into its proper alignment.
  • October has been one continuous month.  I mean non-stop, one-thing-after-another from 31 days.  Boy am I glad tomorrow is November!
  • I can’t believe that tomorrow is November already!  It’s almost Christmas!

Catching up is hard to do!

  1. I need to mow my grass again before it turns cold. I hope it warms up and dries out long enough for me to accomplish it! If not, there’s always next year!!

As for carpet, it is a lot of work and before you know it, it needs to be done again!! Where does all the dirt come from?!

  2. We usually have to mow our grass until November. I guess that’s one drawback of living in a warmer, less snowy climate. Mowing season is usually March (if not February) – November.

  3. I didn’t even get a pumpkin. I meant to but never did. Maybe next year!!

Cleaning carpets is a big task. And drying does take awhile. The only thing I figured that helped was running the machine over it for a long time afterwards to pull out as much water as possible. And turning the fan on high to help the drying along!

  4. “October has been one continuous month” — they’re normally like that, you know. One day after the other…

I never got around to carving my pumpkin. Maybe sometime this week, I’ll at least get some seeds out of it before I throw it away.
