I have not yet started Harry Potter Book 5 (Order of the Phoenix). But I did work on my knitting while Eric was at orchestra rehearsal yesterday evening. Yes, I taught myself to knit this summer. I’m still really bad at it, but I’m learning a few things. My fingers were really hurting, though, when I finally put it down for the night!
I also went grocery shopping yesterday and boxed up most of my Christmas decorations. The tree is not yet down, but the long, boring work of re-wrapping the lights correctly is done. So today, hopefully, I’ll get the motivation to finish everything up and get our house back to normal. I also need to finish the laundry (ie, put things away and wash/iron the permanent press clothes) and work on arranging my classes which start next week. We’ll see what happens, though!
Tonight, I think I’m going to take my husband on a date. I’m not sure what to do. Anyone got ideas for a fun (and fairly inexpensive) date night?
See Kim’s site for the shampoo rotation. If I use the same shampoo daily, after three or four days, my hair will start to feel really gross. I don’t know why, and I’ve tried a lot of different kinds of shampoo trying to find one I can use exclusively, but alas, no luck. So I just use two or three kinds at a time and alternate them. Seems to do the trick!
I see how the irregularity makes it hard to time such things. I will definitely be praying for you and your Eric (or is yours Erik…I can’t keep that straight). Keeping perspective about God’s will and timing does help, I imagine.
I’m reading the series solely for the lightness and non-thinking. Unfortunately, I can never not think, and I end up making fun of the characters as I go along. Lindsey really appreciates it. Your sister probably would, too.
Anytime you want a baby, I’ll pick one up from the hospital, k?
Do you need more ideas? I could probably come up with some.
DeWayne and I were the best at cheap dates (when we were dating). My personal favorite was Applebee’s for half-price appetizers then a dollar movie. It cost a whopping $10 for the whole evening. That probably doesn’t help your attempts to keep the BP in check or qualify as “fun” since you watch movies more frequently than we do. Hmmm. I’ll keep thinking.
If you don’t mind sharing, I’d love to hear more about what’s going on with you and the possible fertility issues. Then I can pray for you more specifically!
It is nice to have your house back to its normal state once the tree is out of the way…good luck on getting that accomplished!!
Have fun on your date..wherever you might end up!!
^^ And kinda sounds like “Happy Geek”, so your husband would probably love it! (Based solely on his taste in t-shirts and tv shows!) ^^
I’m trying to do like you and stick to a budget for grocery shopping. If I run out of budget for a month, we’ll find things to eat around the house! (Unless it’s Kayla who’s run out of food – then I’d have to give in!)
Go to Cowtown Art and make Mosaic Art. It’s only $10 per person! Just watch where you park! You can also find a cool place to eat in the Short North. The Happy Greek is one of my favorites!
