Work Returns and Husband Leaves

That’s a great headline for my life this week!

This morning, I’m back in my office for the first time in 10 days or
so, and I didn’t miss it a bit.  The drive down was fine, though
rainy.  Apparently the weather is sad about my having to finish
the semester!
I did get all my grading done yesterday afternoon, so I just have to
organize myself for today’s classes now.  Shouldn’t be too bad at
all!

Eric has a business trip this week, so I won’t see him again until Thursday evening when he comes back.
It’s certainly not a long trip this time, so it shouldn’t be too
bad.  And with direct flights, he won’t even have to deal with
layover problems. So he should get back on time.  Hope so
anyway!

Last night, we hung out and had a good time.  We had dinner at the
Gyro Shoppe (cheap Greek food) on Henderson and then stopped at Giant
Eagle on our way home.  We needed supplies for the guys’ night
that will be happening at my house on Friday night, so now that is
taken care of!  We watched Robots, the animated movie, when we got home and then all the extras, too.  It was a good evening…I just love that guy!

  1. ^ That’s different. At least you’re showing that you’re taking care of your child! ^

So what are you doing for girls’ night?

  2. ^ I don’t live in the tropics, although I am a little further south than you guys, so maybe it’s different.  I lean more toward Michelle’s opinion on the stupid coats.  We’d be forever adjusting the straps on the dang car seat!  Not to say we don’t keep her warm – if she’s in her car seat, she’ll have a blanket over her if necessary.  But if Kyle’s dropping us off at the door to church, and we’re just walking those few feet outside, I’m not taking the time!  Sorry, old man greeter! ^

  3. Mmmm…gyros….

What are you doing during guys’ night?

Michelle can’t possibly understand about coats since she lives in the tropics, but I know what you mean!

  4. I totally understand how you feel with your husband out of town, but you’ll survive it and be more grateful for him when he gets back!! Feel free to stop by anytime this week. We don’t have any plans and it’s nice to be around others when your hubby is gone!!

  5. You’ll understand why parents don’t put coats on their kids when you have one. Sometimes it’s necessary, I agree. But if you have to put them in the car seat, it’s near impossible with a coat on. Of course, I live somewhere a little warmer. We rarely put a heavy coat on — just a jacket.

No real plans for today. So you can stop by whenever you would like if you have time. I don’t think we have plans for Friday either when you’re here. We don’t leave until evening on Friday.
