Random information about my life:

  • I am back in my office today for the first time in a week.  I am already caught up on the things I needed to do.
  • Yesterday I read all the papers that had been turned in to me
even though I didn’t need to have half of them read until Friday.
    I’m an over-achiever.
  • I still have 5 papers to read, only one of which has actually
been turned in.  I hate having to send demanding emails just to
have a student get a paper in (and they’re well past late, now!).
  • I have a meeting at 10:00 (I think) to discuss my grammar class.  Such fun!
  • Yesterday, Eric and I moved my bookshelf when he got home from
work.  Now I have to re-organize my upstairs again.  I seem
    to do that a lot!
  • I finished a book yesterday and started another one.
  • The rain felt really cold this morning.  I’m ready for spring to come back quickly now!
  • I can’t think of anything else even remotely interesting to tell you.

  1. I haven’t changed the furniture around in my bedroom for quite some time now. I think Alan would think he was in someone elses house if I did it now!!

Annoying students…is it time for them to leave yet?

  2. stupid students. You can tell they’re freshmen.

Quit messing things up, and you wouldn’t have to clean them all the time!!!

  3. You’re the nicest teacher ever.  I say just fail ’em!

Yes, I will still have scalloped potatoes and ham.  He only gave them half of one piece, leaving me probably ten slices of ham!  Yea!

  4. They got a zero. Unfortunately, this draft is for the workshop I will have with them in their peer groups. So, no paper, no feedback, worthless workshops. Much annoyance on my part.

  5. You have to remind students to turn in papers?  That’s nice.   In the dark ages, when I went to school if we didn’t turn them in we just got a big fat 0 and possibly failed.  I don’t think I had any teachers that “reminded” us we were late.
