Already a busy morning!  Karen called just as I was walking back in from my walk.  Her car wasn’t starting this morning, so she needed a ride to work.  So I’ve been to Plain City and back already today!  And I even told her that I’d pick her up after school, too.  I’m such a good sister!

Yesterday, I shopped.  I decided to spend the $150 I got for writing those articles on new clothes for myself and pay with cash, rather than using our bank card.   First, I ran errands in the morning to Target and Kohl’s for some necessary things (no clothes).  I got some great Mothers Day cards at Target which I must mail today (at least for my MIL since we won’t be there on Sunday).  After lunch, I went to Lane Ave. and bought $75 worth of clothes for $45 at NY & Co.  I love that store.  I got a skirt, three shirts, and a pair of earrings (the jewelry put me over $75 so I could use my coupons!).   I didn’t find much else there that I just loved, so I came home and hung out with Eric for a while.

Last night, Karen skipped choir to come to the mall with me.  We had a great time…much laughter!  Karen found lots of clothes.  I did not.  But I did get a new pair of shoes and a pair of dressy capri pants.  And I still have about $50 to spend if I want.  So Karen and I may go out again tomorrow (she’s taking the day off for a dr’s appointment but has the afternoon free!).

Today I will be working around at home: tidying up, ironing, and generally relaxing.  I love summer.

  1. I do not like NY&C. I really don’t like shopping either. However, if I have money and a specific item in mind to look for, I can tolerate it. I go in spurts, too.

  2. I have no arches, so they’re great for me!

They actually did that all on their own. I was quite proud. I usually have to set up playdates for Kevin!

  3. I was browsing my church’s Web site one day, and that’s one of the books they recommend on the counseling section. I decided to read it just because. I do really like it. There’s a workbook that goes along with it, too, but I haven’t read/done that. I just checked the book out of the C-bus library. It makes really good points whether or not you have any major crises in your life.

We should get together again! Karen and I talked about it back in March, but it never happened. Although Kevin and Erik are doing some fantasy baseball thing together.

  4. I need to go shopping, too. Sadly, I don’t seem to have as much fun as you do. I guess I just don’t like shopping, but my wardrobe indicates that it must be done!

  5. I NY&Co. Such a great store. They have really nice flip flops, too, that have cloth straps instead of rubber, so they don’t hurt your feet. Just FYI.

Sounds like fun. I wish I had a day like that. Michelle is my vacation this year, though. Happily so.
