My life was not very interesting yesterday.   I spent most of it in front of computers.  There was a chance that I was going to have to go to CU for a meeting, so I was watching my email pretty closely.  But that meeting still hasn’t been scheduled, so I doubt I’ll feel so obligated to stay close to home today!

Other than working on various computer-based projects, I put the garbage out, watered the plants, made cookies (they turned out this time!), and made dinner.  I finished a book I’ve been reading for a while (a biography of Dolley Madison), and I watched some TV (there isn’t much on on Thursdays).  Today, I need to run a couple of small errands, and other than that, my day is pretty open.

And now…the Final Installment of my Vacation pictures…LAS VEGAS!

Actually, this first picture is of the Hoover Dam, which I thought was really cool.  They’re building a suspension bridge beside it so that no one will be able to drive across it anymore, so I was glad we did get to actually go over it before the bridge was finished!  The second pictures is the view from our hotel room…the Sphinx’s butt!

And of course, our views of the Strip at night…

And my personal favorites…Eric was playing with the camera and got some very artistic shots!

  1. I’m lazily aiming for losing 10 pounds right now.  I’d lost 2, but they both came back.  To show how much I didn’t care, and get back at my body for allowing that weight to come back, I decided to have General Tso’s chicken.  I’m pretty sure it’s the highest calorie item I could get, and I enjoyed every bite!  (And probably invited back another couple pounds!)

  2. Someday, I’m going to make it out that way! Your pictures have reignited the desire. But, I’m not sure when we’ll fit that in…what with all these grandchildren we have to visit with these days!!

  3. I’m taking an accounting course there the week of the 18th.  Our anniversary is the 16th, so we decided to go for the weekend before and celebrate!

  4. as cheesy as RVs are, it was actually a really nice way to travel cross-country (especially if you have kids, but i don’t think you do!).  it is much cheaper to stay at a camp ground than to stay at a hotel.  although, with the price of gas these days, who knows what is actually cheaper!  i just hope that i’m able to do that with my family someday!

  5. hey, i was just looking at your vacation pictures!  they are so great!  when i was 13, my parents bought an RV and we drove out west for a month.  it was an amazing trip, but i think i would appreciate the scenery a lot more now that i’m older.  your pictures really make me want to go back!!!

  6. Yep, it’s a series — best out of 7.

Most people would say the Cavs don’t have a chance, but they got there, so they have to have a chance…

  7. I can’t believe you were that close to Aunt Barb and didn’t get to meet her!

Why did you decide to read the Madison book?

Shutterfly.com — that’s what I use for digital prints, and you get 15 free just for signing up!

  8. One more week, and I’m heading there!  Very exciting!

    Glad your cookies turned out!

I agree with poor Kyle – I know he was upset by the experience longer than Kayla was!!
