I spent most of the day in Cedarville yesterday.  I had a meeting at 11:00 and worked in my office for a while.  I had lunch with my mom, and we talked for a good long time.  It’s so fun to chat with her!  I stopped briefly at Grace to drop something off to Jeff Brock and chatted with the people there for a bit, and then I went back to my office.  I had to run over to Mom’s office to change a grade, and then I headed home.

Eric and I watched a TiVo-ed episode of Good Eats when I got home (about omelets), and then we had scrambled eggs for dinner!  After supper, we worked outside.  I washed my car and then helped Eric deadhead flowers and trim bushes and such.  Then we came inside and watched MythBusters.  All in all, not a terribly exciting day, but fairly productive.

For today, I have to run some errands, mostly to get Father’s Day cards/gifts for both of our dads. We’ll be at the farm this weekend, so I want to take my dad his gift tomorrow when I’m back down in Cedarville.   And I’ll probably do some cleaning today as well.  I’m not very interesting, am I? *sigh*

  1. We’re apparently in trouble because we visit on Friday/Saturday for the past few weekend holidays (ie Mothers Day/Fathers Day) and then go to Cedarville on Sunday afternoon.  But, if we do Sundays up north we don’t see my family at all, at least this way we could actually see both dads on the weekends, but that’s not good enough, I guess.

  2. I think it’s even harder for our fathers than for Kyle!  At least I talk to him every day and catch little things like that he might want!

  3. A coffee grinder will be great!!!

Want to wash my car, Shan??? It’s dirty!

I thought you wouldn’t driving to Cedarville so much during the summer!

  4. Just kidding – it’s a coffee grinder!  He says he doesn’t drink enough coffee to get through the bag before it’s stale, so he thought one of those would be helpful.  It was months ago, so I was so proud of myself for not even having to ask him for ideas – just filed that info away instead!
