Tuesday ramblings…
- It was actually chilly outside on my walk this morning. Of course it was 70 degrees, but the lack of humidity was a shock!
- I canned and froze peaches yesterday. I think all 7 jars sealed. I know the other peaches froze.
- Eric has the pictures from the weekend mostly ready here. He’s still got a couple of pictures to add as they come to him (like the group shots). Enjoy!
- I bought baby shower gifts yesterday morning. Karen and I are going shopping later today for the rest of the gift. It sure is nice to have a ready-made partner for baby gifts!
- I finished a book yesterday. I
reading. - Today I’m going to make applesauce and do laundry. Sounds like fun, huh?
- I want you all to notice that I haven’t mentioned cleaning in like a week.
Of course, that means that I’m going to have to do some cleaning this week.
^^Because I”m old and lazy and don’t WANT TO!!!!!^^
Does anyone else have rappers surrounding their blogring page? Very disconcerting…..
Great pics! We had a good time, but it was over too fast!
Our projecting clock is very old-fogey. My grandmother gave it to us for Christmas last year. We taunted it. We used it. We love it. I love to know the time and temps whenever I wake up! Sometimes, in the bleary-eyed middle of the night, I have troble telling which is time and which is temperature. Is it it 4:38 AM or 43.8 degrees (yes, it tells to the tenth of a degree).
But why not just make it, flavor it like you want, and freeze it in smaller containers that way?
^ Motts has a good one like that. I buy the big jars, then dump it in a fewer smaller containers and freeze it. ^
^^ Look – I have an answer to EVERYTHING!!!
^^
I prefer to make my own applesauce. I like it with pieces of apple in it, and the store-bought brands don’t much make that. And the jars are all too big, I can’t eat it all fast enough.
^ Ha ha to the applesauce/candle comment! ^
We used to make our own applesauce, but I decided it’s cheaper in the long run to buy it in a jar! Then we can season how we like it.
You know, people, you can buy applesauce at the store, and burn a cinnamon candle….MUCH easier.
Heavens….I’d just stare at the temp thing on the ceiling all night!
Did you not get the group shots I sent to you this weekend? I emailed them on Saturday night from my Shutterfly account.
Enjoy your applesauce–sounds yummy. How many days until your classes start?
mmmm…. i love how making applesauce causes the whole house to smell sweet and cozy!
Eric has a desk thing like that…he’d be so jealous if he knew he could get one that projects its information on the ceiling!!
We have this indoor-outdoor temperature thing that projects on the ceiling. When I got up this morning, it read 56 degrees outside! Hard to believe we can have a night like that and be in the 90s by this afternoon, but that’s what they are calling for!
