It’s Thursday.  That means it’s garbage day, and I must get the garbage out this week because it STINKS!

I have a meeting in Cedarville this morning.  My mom called at 7:00 to let me know that CU is on a 2-hour delay because the storms last night knocked a tree over onto power lines and blew the transformer.  Oops!  Power is supposed to be restored by 10:00, which I believe is when my meeting is supposed to start.  What a coincidence…

EDIT 8:50 am: Apparently, my morning meeting has been moved to an afternoon meeting.  Now I don’t have to be down until 2:00 which is slightly messing up my already-decided schedule for the day.  *sigh*  So now the question is…what should I do with my suddenly-open morning?!?

I have a grad school open house this evening.  It’s the first ‘event’ of my classes and such, so I’m glad to finally get some info and some errands completed.  That event also means that I’ll be hanging out in my office all afternoon and (hopefully) getting some work done.  I figured there was no point in driving back to Columbus to turn around and drive back to Dayton this evening.  But it’ll be a long day.

I have no good stories to tell you today.  Nothing exciting happened yesterday.  I barely left the house.  So I guess I’ll have to keep on living through you with all of your exciting lives!

  1. I think it’s fun to have an “open house” for grad school. I’m picturing it like the one the twins just have: meet the teachers, find your room, eat a cookie.

  2. For many summers, I spent one week in June at Cedarville for Summer Missionary training with Child Evangelism Fellowship. It seems that I remember a lot of storms, and many power outages. Not having electricity and A/C = dark and hot.Hope your open house goes well! Will it be hard to balance the Cedarville/UD schedule?
