Yesterday I spent the morning shopping. I did find some new athletic shoes (yay!!). Then I went to Sam’s Club. I got a lot of stuff there, including:
- paper towels
- bottled water (I keep it in my office)
- Halloween candy
- chocolate chips
- tomato soup
- chicken breasts, ground beef, pork chops
- toothpaste
- razor blades for me
- shampoo for each of us
It was expensive, but I won’t have to buy any of these things again for a long time. Gotta love Sam’s!
In the afternoon, I went to the church. I was there from 1-4. I had a meeting for about 2 hours about tech stuff for the Christmas program. Then I had about a 45 minute meeting with just the music minister (Allen) about casting and other show details. Then I talked to one of the secretaries for a good long time!
When I got home, I started dinner (mac n cheese) and graded my Basic submissions. We had dinner and then went to Lowe’s where we ordered the cabinets to redesign the loft. They’ll be delivered in about a month, so that can be Eric’s project for November! It’ll be really nice when it’s done, I think. And we’ll have two nice workstations and a lot of storage space there. I’m excited!
Anyway, back to my daily grind…happy Friday!!
Must depend on the store. The Lowe’s which is very close to our house is pretty worthless and the people working (if you can locate someone-waiting 20 minutes for the guy working there to quit chit chatting with a friend!) are generally rude. The Lowe’s and Home Depot nearer Noah’s house are both so much better.
I agree about Lowe’s vs. Home Depot! It’s almost impossible to find someone at Home Depot you don’t have to follow around for ten minutes while they finish helping someone else!
We can’t figure out how much Halloween candy we need to buy for this new house. In Ewing we had around 200 kids come by. Here…who knows?
I just prefer Lowe’s because they’re helpful and clean and don’t try to rip me off (as a general rule). Home Depot is closer, but I have a horrible time getting people to help me when I’m there. Grrr…
If I bought Halloween candy now, it would be gone looooooong before Halloween….unless I got something I didn’t like!
