I finally cleaned my bathrooms!
So that’s a strange title for the post today, I guess, but it’s true. Of course, I’d waited so long to clean them that I had to scrub pretty hard to get the layers of hair spray off the vanity and floor in the master bath, but regardless, they are very clean.
I also cleaned the kitchen floor and ironed all that needed it. I ironed during the OSU game, which was at least a distraction from the sad, sad excuse for football that was showing on TV. *sigh* Oh well…I guess the QB is a rookie, so he was going to make some rookie mistakes eventually.
I did some sewing this weekend, too. I had to make a banner and a shawl for the Christmas program. The banner is a 9×6 piece of burlap. The shawl was a square of shiny purple material. I did all of that on Friday night and Saturday morning. It was fun to do, but I’m glad I’m done sewing for a while.
Eric’s birthday was good, I think. We did meet his family for dinner, and we had a nice time. His mom had ordered a gift that didn’t arrive, so she gave him a movie and baked him a pie that he loves. We got home from dinner in just enough time for me to go to drama rehearsal, then Eric had orchestra rehearsal, and I had to stop to put gas in my car. Karen called me later to say that our small group was canceled for the evening, so we got to hang out at home. We watched the Next Iron Chef marathon (with a half-hour break for the Simpsons, of course). And then it was time for bed.
So…all in all a good weekend, I guess. Happy Monday!
Happy rest to you.
Or something. I’m randomly giving minis today.
It sounds like you had a very busy wekend! I wish someone would clean my bathroom!!
Of course, Gail…come on over!!
Can I come shower at your place? (That question should tell you the state of my bathrooms…)
Congrats on the bathrooms. Now – – – stay out of them, and they won’t get dirty!
I sewed ALL my clothes for years(we were po’)…all the time the boys were little. When we finally got to the place where I could afford to buy them, I swore I’d never sew again. Sew far, sew good!
good for you for ironing everything ahead of time! i need to get into the habit of doing that….
If the smell of rubbing alcohol doesn’t bother you, pour some on a cloth or paper towel to clean up dried hair spray. It will usually wipe it right up.
