Happy thought for the day: The trees are so pretty right now.  The tree in the front yard is a salmon color, and out the back window you can see bright yellow leaves in our neighbor’s yard.  Fall is so pretty, especially on mild days like we’ve had.  Sadly, of course, it’s supposed to get cold tomorrow, but I bet the leaves will still be pretty!

Other thoughts for the day:

  • I am very sore today.  I worked hard yesterday moving furniture and rearranging rooms after the loft remodel. There is still some work to do, but the big stuff is all in place now.  I moved a lot of books, a television, two twin beds, an old recliner (it comes apart, but it did have to go downstairs), a small desk (it went upstairs), lots of large (empty boxes), and a dresser.  I did move the treadmill around some, but Eric had to help me get it into the other room.  Needless to day, my back, arms, and hands are pretty sore this morning!
  • My kitchen is clean again.  How nice!
  • Karen and I played phone tag last night.  Apparently, my bluetooth earpiece had gotten turned on without my knowing it.  So we were calling each other, but I could never hear her.   And when we did finally connect, she told me that the whole thing started because my phone had dialed her (I must have pushed a button or something)!  Sheesh!
  • Today is the usual class schedule, with some advising meetings after that.  Then tonight is orchestra rehearsal for Eric and drama rehearsal for me.  Only 2 more weeks until our Christmas program…crazy!

  1. That’s hilarious about the game of phone tag, unbeknownst to you. My phone recently sent an embarassing text message (nothing too drastic) to my mission here explaining that I was still waiting in line, and that I really had to use the bathroom(it was knowingly sent to my husband, but the keyboard lock did not activate before I tossed the phone in my pocket, and then it chose to send the message to the office. Lovely.

  2. shhhhhh……Marla and Gabe are going away to have wild sex……..shhhhhhhh

You’re too sore to have fun today…of any sort.

  3. Eric laughed at me.  He laughed again this morning and reminded me that I am “small and old.”  Thanks, sweetie…

The only scolding he did was when he said I probably should have let him carry the recliner base downstairs.  He’s probably right!

  4. Typical.  ‘Don’t tell me I have to wait for a MAN to move stuff’…..now you know why some think that line of reasoning is faulty.

    Those blue-tooth thingees are bizarre……

  5. I don’t know how you moved all that furniture by yourself!!!  No wonder you’re sore!

LOL at you and Karen.  That is why I am not allowed to own hi-tech thingies.
