Wednesday
Sadly, I awoke this morning to another (smaller) ant battalion on my counter. Apparently they decided to come up through a different crack in the caulking. I guess traps or something are going to have to come into play before they give up on my kitchen entirely. I was also annoyed to realize that they’d made it to my kitchen island, with my help! So I spent the first half-hour of the morning cleaning my kitchen up. I guess it makes for a productive day, but still!
Last night was the return of one of our favorite shows – Eureka! It’s on the Sci-Fi channel, and we are very happy to have it back. It’s one of the few shows we will watch every week. So fun!!
EDIT: Also, Eric says that this link should now work if you want more pictures of me, the nursery or the babies. END EDIT
And lastly, some pictures for you to enjoy.
Me last night at 19 weeks (the yellow wall behind me is the newly-painted nursery, btw)

we had the bug man to our unit block and I told him we had had some ants and he told me to put lemon juice along the window sil where they marched. Maybe that might work! Let me know! DIE ANTS DIE ANTS! Sorry I don’t like ants that invade my home!
Sorry I am a bit behind on blog reading as I have been away!
You look so great!! 🙂
The kind of ants that you described fall in a family that includes sugar ants and acrobatic ants (yes, if you watch closely they actually do flips and summersaults!). These ants can get through the tiniest crack and are a little harder to get rid of. I tend to be of gsowell’s mindset…if you can’t beat them, welcome them! 🙂
Just welcome the ants in as part of the family. It is a lot less frustrating than the constant war.
Seriously, we’ve had good luck with Terro.
And I noticed the boobs, too, but seeing as I’m not your sister, I won’t mention them.
You so remind me of myself in those pictures!!
I hate ants! We’ve had problems with them on and off for some years. This year, I had some right at the beginning of the Spring and not much since. It’s been great!
Try red chili powder for the ants. Sprinkle some were the ants are coming in. It worked for me. Call me and I will tell you all about it.
You look great!! And so do the babies!!
Love your adorable belly!! (and the boobs…)
