Contractions

In the last week or so, they’ve been happening more and more.  Not so many (yet) that I feel like I need to call the doctor.  But I will definitely be mentioning it at my next appointment (very soon!).   I’m guessing, though, that such realities are here to stay now, and they are what will, if anything, require bed rest.  And if that’s what’s necessary to keep these babies in there longer, I guess I can deal.  But I hope it’s not necessary…

For some reason, today sort of feels like Friday to me.  I have no idea why.  Weird.

Yesterday was bible study and a short trip to Target.  I also spent a good bit of time on the couch.  For dinner, I made au gratin potatoes.  They took most of 2 hours…no wonder people don’t make those very often!  I called my parents’ house in the evening and eventually got to chat with both of them.  Lovely!

Today I have no major plans.  In fact, when we prayed before Eric left, he asked God to help me not to get too much done.  He’s a funny guy.   But I do have some little chores to accomplish.  I need to create a meal plan for October, which leads to a grocery list, which then necessitates a trip to the grocery.  Ok…the last one’s not so little, I guess…but maybe I’ll wait until Eric gets home and let him come along to help me.

I can’t believe it’s October 1st today.   That means there are only 3 months left in 2008.  Crazy!

Anyway, I’m rambling now, so I should stop here.  Happy Wednesday!!

  1. Yeah, I think you should wait for your hubby to help with the groceries. I’m glad you have a hubby that is so helpful and I loved his prayer!  I know it is hard with you getting so uncomfortable.  Rest.  I’m sure you’re tired of hearing that too!  I don’t know where this year has gone!

  2. I also make them out of a box. I don’t have two hours to cook dinner! Soon you won’t either.

Bedrest isn’t so bad. That’s what it took to get me to stay off my feet. I would recommend it at home though. It’s much easier to get nothing done when you have a doctor telling you it’s what you need to do!

  3. Good idea to wait for help with the grocery shopping.  I overdid it with Gabe as we had moved across two states, and ended up w/ preterm labor.  If you can take it easy (and that helps any…I know you’ve got twins in there and that’s a whole different ball game), do it!  It will give you a little bit more freedom to do it that way than to end up on bed rest.

Praying for you and your babies!
