Nixie was noting in her latest post how hot it was supposed to be in Australia for a couple of days. Apparently, the southern hemisphere has sucked all the heat from the northern hemisphere because it’s cold today here! The news guy was even talking about a wind chill. A wind chill?!? Two days into October?!?
Of course, this means I’ll need to start finding some longer sleeved shirts, of which I don’t have many. And except for the one zip-front hoodie (navy) and one sweater jacket (brown) – which I have no shirts/tanks to layer under, I have no real outerwear at all. Hmmm…this could pose a problem if “wind chills” continue to occur so soon this fall!
But enough about my clothes…
I got my meal plan and grocery lists done yesterday. And Eric did go with me to the grocery store last night, even though he didn’t get home until almost 7. I like when he goes with me and not just because he can reach high-up shelves and carry all the bags and push the cart! Then he figured out how to delete a questionable file off my computer when we got home. He’s an incredibly handy guy to have around!
Sadly I don’t have much else to say today.
Happy Thursday!
It’s cooled down here a bit now so hopefully it will warm up there 😉
Thanks fior the tip. Alan said he has already trid those things. He thinks it may be inside the computer somewhere…argh…………….. Maybe he’ll get time to figure it out next week. I don’t think he has tennis practice everyday starting then!!
It is still beautiful here although we are finally in the 60’s in the morning. The last time I went north in October (1999) it was unseasonably warm…at least I got to see the changing leaves.
Oh, and I probably have a winter coat that may fit.
@chrissdeb – Are you calling me fat?
Just kidding. Actually, either of you would be welcome to my maternity clothes. I can bring them with me to Debbie’s birthday celebration, whenever we get that officially set. You can both sort through them, if you want.
@MomEdlund – Last time I heard of something like that happening, Eric’s grandma’s computer had spyware/viruses causing issues. You might want to check that out!
@Oly16 – Well, by the end of the week it’s supposed to be back in the low 70s (today’s high is supposed to be 61 – yikes!). So don’t pack too warmly!!
Yikes! It’s WAYYY too early for a wind chill. Guess I need to pack warm when we come to Ohio in a week.
i missed the part about the wind chill! eek!
i was definitely caught off guard, too, by the cold. I don’t know what I have to wear that fits b/c I’m still just feeling fluffy and not very maternity & it’s tough to figure out what to wear!
Since Eric’s so good with computers maybe he could tell us why when we try to get on-line, our computer freezes up and then reboots itself?!
@ladymiss3739 – October at the Ville is a hit-or-miss month for weather, for sure! Of course, they now have the lake almost surrounded by buildings, so maybe that’s helping with the wind!
I do have some warmer clothes in my “on loan” boxes to pull out, but I’ll probably need to borrow or buy a few more pieces. But not much, I hope!
I’d offer you some clothes, but am currently wearing them myself. I decided I would much rather be comfortable than try and squeeze into anything anymore. Maybe, it’s time to raid Karen’s closet.
I know! Last year’s homecoming at CU was so warm, we all wore shorts and lightweight clothes! This year…not sure about that. Especially with those infamous “lake winds” at CU.
Will you have to buy warmer clothes just to make it through the last few weeks?
wind chilll?!? noooooooo!!
