Getting kicked

One of these little ones is kicking my bladder as I type this.  Apparently someone is a morning person.

Bible study was pretty good yesterday, but I didn’t do very much for the rest of the day.  I did go out to get the mail.  But that might have been about it.  Today, I actually have a couple of things I want to do.  We shall see how it goes.

Today is exactly two months from my official due date.  We won’t make it anywhere near that date, but it’s kind of cool to think of it like that.

Every time I walk into my newly-rearranged living room, I think, “I really like this setup.”  That is a good feeling!

Eric is looking into getting some new photography equipment.  He really enjoys that hobby.  And I enjoy the fact that I’ll have fantastic pictures of my babies that won’t require fighting with gimmicky studios (most of the time)!

I was looking into birth announcements yesterday, just to see what was out there.  They are expensive. Yikes!

That’s all I can think of right now…guess I’ll go get on with my day!  Happy Wednesday!

  1. My daughter was born November 26th, so I know what you mean about holiday babies!

Check out Vista Print (online) for super-cheap photo cards.  They’re always running “free” specials where you only pay shipping.  We did our Christmas card/birth announcement that way and it was really affordable.

  2. @tonialynn59 – I was a little concerned at first about having “him” born so close to Christmas (before we knew it was twins).  Now it looks like “they” will come much closer to Thanksgiving (that’s 36 weeks for me)…I guess we are just bound to have holiday babies!

@mtaviano – I think your idea is a very good one.  I doubt I’ll feel like fussing with birth announcements in the first week or two anyway!

  3. I guess when you’ve talked weeks, I didn’t realize it was so close to Christmas.  I carried mine till 36-37 weeks.  Mike had to get a copy of his transcript from CU and when he called he got your moms voicemail.

  4. Sam’s Club has good prices on picture cards and lots of choices.  You can do it on their website and pick them up in a couple of days.

  5. I agree. Your hubby can take pics and design something. And, as far as I’m concerned, you never need to take your kids to a photo studio. I doubt it would be worth it.

And may I offer a piece of unsolicited advice? Don’t send the birth announcements out for a couple weeks. And use a pic of the kiddos at 1-2 weeks old. As cute as you think they are when they’re hours old, they will be sooooooo much cuter in a couple weeks. You’ll look back later and say, “My wrinkled, squishy, squinty babies are on people’s refrigerators all across America, and now they’re sooooo cute! How sad!”

Or your kids could be gorgeous from the get-go. Who knows?

  6. yay for a good feeling when you walk into a rearranged room!

(we never sent out real birth announcements- only via email.  hope our kids dont hold it against us when they grow up!)

  7. where have you been looking to get birth announcements?  you can make photocards on sites like snapfish and shutterfly for a fairly reasonable amount.

i love the feeling of a rearranged room!  makes everything feel so new!

    have a great day!
