So the pregnancy swelling is getting a lot more obvious these days…but only on the left side. We noticed this yesterday, and it’s been amusing me ever since. My hands look about the same, but my left hand is more affected. My left foot and ankle are visibly swollen, while my right foot is not as much. It looks really bizarre to have one fat little puffy foot, but still be able to see the tendons and stuff in the other one! I wonder if my limping (my right hip hurts worse) is causing the uneven-ness. Either way, it really looks funny! (and probably means I need to sit down more today…)
Yesterday, I wrote one thank you note. At that rate, I’ll be done sometime in December. Perhaps I should work a little harder at it…
I went to Meijer yesterday. Staying stocked on the amounts of veggies and meat-type items I’m eating these days is getting expensive. Good thing we don’t have too much longer to wait! I also got some baby laundry detergent, so now I can wash the clothes and things we’ve gotten so far.
Speaking of clothes, a friend of Eric’s from his hometown had twin girls about 5 years ago and is donating a bunch of little girl clothes to us (another lady in the church got the matching outfits for her little girl). So we will have LOTS of clothes for Little Miss. Unfortunately, there has been no similar offer of boy clothes. Poor Little Man…we’ll have to work on stocking up for him, too!
I don’t know about anyone else, but I think the first half of this week dragged by. Thankfully, the second half went much faster. And now it’s Friday! So Happy Friday! And have a marvelous weekend!!
I love the nicknames you have given them. 🙂
My friend Stephanie was lopsided swollen while she was pregnant with twins. She was on bedrest after 22 weeks so I would guess it has nothing to do with your limping. Just how you are I guess!
Sorry I can’t help you with the boys clothes. If you want anymore for the girl, I might be able to pass some on!
@MomEdlund – Forget HOW he’s dressed…I want him to BE dressed!
@ch1pch0p – Do you mean Karen’s clothes (which I already have)? Or hand-me-downs from Jason? That would make a difference…
Maybe the child doesn’t care about how he’s dressed, but the mom does, huh, Shannah?! We’ll have to help with that!!
This week WAS super slow! On Wednesday I kept thinking it should already be Friday. Thank the Lord it’s finally Friday!
Boys clothes are just harder to find in general. If you end up having to buy much though, check out some of the lots for sale on Ebay…you can usually get some barely worn stuff for $1-3 per item!
That lopsided swelling brings back memories! I was pretty swollen all over, but I do remember that it was different per side!
Take some of Karen’s clothes. Some of the winter stuff should work for the season!
You don’t have to worry too much about clothes for the little boy. Boys don’t like to wear clothes remember?
Just put him in a diaper and a pair of shorts…he’ll be fine.
Girls care about how they look all the time.
seriously! this week was SLOW. I wonder what causes it to feel the same for so many people?
Just for the record, I was hired one time to write a couple’s thank you notes for their wedding. so….if it’s every something you want to hire out to have done… I’d be more than willing!
Huh. Your swelling has me quite amused, too! That’s pretty wacky!
