Here’s a few factoids for a Friday morning:
- Night before last, I got 7.5 hours of sleep. Last night, the babies took it all back.
- We watched Wall-E last night. Cute movie! Not nearly the “global-warming-humanity-is-bad” sort of lecture I was expecting…and it was nice to curl up on the couch with my husband (and eventually both babies) for a couple of hours.
- I did nothing of value (except baby chores) yesterday. I thought about doing something, but decided against it. I should be more productive today.
- After five months of sitting at home, I still do not miss teaching. Not even a little. I realized this reality the other day. Apparently, teaching was not really my calling in life. I wonder what it is…
- In the last two weeks, I’ve read two books. I read Multiple Bles8ings by the Gosselins and The Shack. Both were good, but for different reasons. I’m also reading a book on the Beattitudes by Warren Weirsbe while I exercise in the mornings. I’m glad I’m still finding time to read.
I guess that’s really all I can think of that’s worth sharing. Hope you thought it was worth reading. Happy Friday!
I can’t wait to read Multiple Blessings! I got it for my birthday! 🙂
@Nixter77 – Surfing on water or on the internet? And my children do their best to make a liar out of me when they’re Dad is around, too. They also prefer to smile for him. I think they like him better.
i want to see Wall-E. We got to watch a whole movie the other weekend too – isn’t it nice when you can do that!
Right now by little man is asleep – normally during the week he wakes up after a short time and won’t go back to sleep – BUT because his Dad is home he has been asleep for 1 1/2 hours, I am sure he does it to make me look like I am a liar when i tell his Dad how he has been awake all morning.. Oh well, enjoying the peace while his Dad is surfing!
Take care and hope those little twins are doing well 😉
I hope your “calling” for the next few years is being a mom to those little ones…the best one you can be!
@ch1pch0p – I liked it. A very quick read, but interesting if you watch the show at all. It basically tells their story from their wedding to the first documentary that started the whole thing. And their faith comes out very strongly, which is also nice.
I didn’t miss teaching either. Still don’t 8 years later. I think you might be a teacher-turned-writer.
yeah, wall-e was totally not what i was expecting either, but it was cute and fun!
have a great day!!
What did you think of Multiple Blessings? I’ve considered getting it for Michelle.
