Hey, Kim Sue!  I met someone you know today…Mike Pistolas from
the Columbus Running Club.  It turns out that he is the same Mike
that Eric lived with when he first moved to Columbus after
college.  They had a third roommate named Brian who lived with
them; all three went to Denison, but Mike graduated a year before the
other two.

Anyway, today was Denison’s homecoming weekend, so we hung out with a
bunch of Eric’s friends all day, one of whom was Mike.  And then
he mentioned the running club in passing, I mentioned that you were in
the club…and voila!  So he said he’d mention it to you the next
time he saw you.  And I thought I’d mention it first!  Fun,
huh?

  1. I do know Mike!! That’s too weird! He seems like a really nice guy…too bad he’s dating someone! hehehe

So when are we getting together?

  2. I agree that it’s craziness!  I got lucky in that I couldn’t care much less about sports than I do, and my husband’s not really into them, either!  Except ice hockey – he does like to watch that, but they went on strike for awhile there, so I had a reprieve.  They have started playing again now, so I’ve seen a few games lately.  I don’t mind watching sports occasionally.  My old boss used to say that we were really into the obscure sports – poker, women’s billiards, …  We do like to watch the tennis tournaments, too.

Michelle mentioned that I like a lot of updates – that’s definitely true, but I’ve finally gotten busy at work, so no one’s under much pressure anymore!

  3. Do you go to Cedarville’s homecoming, too? I don’t think we have ever gone back to Ohio State for homecoming. Only because we haven’t ever gotten tickets to that football game so it seems silly to drive all that way just to be there for homecoming weekend! And I would be one of those crazy fans at the grocery in my OSU apparel(which I wear every football Saturday even down here). There’s a couple other people in our neighborhood who fly the OSU flag on football game days, too. So the craziness stretches all throughout the country!! I’m sure it’s a little more apparent in Columbus, though.
