Yesterday, I was planning to go to Cedarville, but I changed my mind. I was going to order textbooks and work on class planning in my office. But then I realized I could do the requisitions from home. And then I found out that both of the books I used have been upgraded to a new edition, meaning that I can’t plan a class until I have the new books in hand. Dumb newer editions! Anyway, I figured there wasn’t any point to going to CU if I couldn’t do very much.
So, instead, I bought shoes for myself (3 pairs!). I got a new pair of
casual brown shoes, a new pair of brown sandals, and a new pair of
“beater” flip-flops to replace the ones that got soaked in Ryan’s
flooded basement. I also ran a couple of other errands while I was
out, but the shoes were my big find!
Not sure what I’ll do today. I could drive to Cedarville to drop off some yard sale stuff and check my office mail. But that just doesn’t seem like a very significant reason to drive the 2 hours. Maybe I’ll get my oil changed instead!
Well…they could be “up” after the knees began to complain about the curling. So we skipped ahead…
Stated feet were not supposed to be “up”; they were supposed to be curled under legs.
I did the oil change. Since then, Trisha, we’ve had lunch, played some computer games and did some writing on my project.
I’m just not good and sitting with my feet up and nothing to do…sorry!
Did you have any other options perchance?
That does seem like way too far to drive to just do those two little things. I’m not one for riding in the car though and maybe you are. I definitely would have picked getting my oil changed.
That does sound nice. I’ll do that next time I have a few hours…
Are you relaxing and reading a book?
You could just come to Cedarville and make the rounds seeing all those who love you and don’t get to see you very often!! That sounds exciting! Or you could get your oil changed by yourself! Hard choice!!
Trisha always makes me laugh! Thanks, Trisha!
I vote for getting your oil changed! It takes less time, and then you could just sit around and relax for me for a few hours. Maybe we should read a book while we relax on the couch with our feet tucked up under us. (I’m living vicariously through you.) Until our knees hurt from having our feet under us, and then we’ll stretch out on the couch instead. That sounds nice…
ahhh…three pairs of shoes. I’m so jealous.
