So yesterday…I cleaned the kitchen and swept the floor, emptied the fridge (and then the garbage!), vacuumed the floors, washed the sheets and remade my bed, loaded up the recyclables and dropped them off, then worked on my other projects for the afternoon. Not really that exciting, I guess. But it’s funny how just a trip to Home Depot to empty our recyclables containers is enough to feel as if I’ve gone out and done something!
Last night, we met my parents and Karen & Erik for supper. Then Erik went to orchestra and I went home (no drama this week). He got home early, though, so I didn’t have to amuse myself for too long. We both climbed into bed to read for awhile about 9, but we didn’t get to sleep until 10:30 or so…use your imaginations!
I had really strange dreams all night, though. I always wake up tired after nights like that. Apparently, I need to be less active in my dreams!
Today is laundry day. Eric is taking off Friday and Monday, and we’ll be heading out to the farm for the weekend. We were going to go to Chicago, but we waited to long to book a hotel, so it was more expensive than we’d wanted to pay. Oh well, c’est la vie! So we’re going camping for a bit and we’ll probably do some running around in Amish country as well (trip to the bulky store and Pearl Valley Cheese…YUMMY!). But before we can go, I need to do laundry…so that’s my agenda for the day!
He’s okay with it; I think he just gets bored sitting there. He needs to move more (unless it’s watching a sport; then he can sit forever). Love’s Labor Lost. I’ve never seen this one!
I take it Keven doesn’t like Shakespeare? Which play is it?
^ Let’s just say you did, okay? ^
I don’t remember ever agreeing to not use the “s” word.
*shakes head and sighs* I guess I will be responsible for adding a little culture to Kayla’s life.
^ I’ve never gone, but I’ve had enough for my lifetime! ^
My friend Jessie (Hill) Edwards. Kevin says he went once this summer, and that’s enough to last him a year.
Who with, Kim Sue?
Definitely going to rain. I hope it stops, though! I’m supposed to go to Shakespeare in the Park tonight!
FYI…The early-ness of my husband’s arrival was nice, but not related to any other activities of the evening!
So the wind is picking up here and it looks like it might rain. Yet the family who lives across a couple backyards from us still has a number of children in the pool. Seriously…no sleep, midnight movie showings, screaming in the stores…don’t parents have any sense at all anymore?!?
ENOUGH ALREADY
So is she, Karen, so is she.
Sex, sex sex! Oops, sorry Kim!
I was glad for you that the brass section got to leave earlier than the rest of us.
I thought we all agreed we wouldn’t say the “s” word!
I am all over the “sex” innuendos!!
I was too slow to make the swingers comment, but I was a bit concerned, too!
I thought you left your husband’s name out somewhere before the part where you both climbed into bed. I was totally confused before reading the comments… What are the odds you and your sister marry guys both named Eric or Erik…
^ LOL Michelle may have just won herself another COTD with that! ^
I had to read that a couple times before I realized you made a mistake. Unless you and Karen are swingers and I didn’t know about it!!
Yep…Eric went to orchestra. As far as I know…they do not practice greeting…but it could happen!
I’m pretty sure you meant Eric went to orchestra, right? not Erik, or do they have to practice for greeting?
