Fun, but Random

Hopefully, this title will accurately reflect the post which is to follow.

Because I know my Xanga-friends love a good “this-worked-for-me” story, I will share this blog post that my husband emailed to me. He read about it on a site called LifeHacker. But the original post is here: One Chicken, Lots of Meals

Today, I did a photo shoot with a friend and her little guy for his 1-year pictures. It was too fun. I learned things as I went, and having taken 150 pictures, I’m sure we’ll get 3-4 good ones. (Just for a reference point, the one time we did a professional place, they took 40 pictures total…just sayin’). So anyway, that is definitely something I’d love to do more often…it was a blast!

Also, the babies slept marvelously last night and are taking a good long nap right now. Definitely qualifies as “fun” in my book!

I had weird dreams last night. I’m not sure that qualifies as fun, well, I told you this post would be random.

We had a great time with the MIL yesterday. And there is still a tentative plan that my mom will come up to hang with us tomorrow. I could totally get used to this having help regularly thing! Any of you want to volunteer?

Okay, I think that’s all I can think for now. Happy Tuesday!

The Usual

It’s Monday, so it’s time for the usual weekend update post.

First of all, for some reason, I can’t type today. It’s getting annoying, but I’m also about ready to stop fixing my errors. So if my post ends with lots of typos…forgive me.

Anyway…back to the weekend…

Friday night was pretty laid back, I think. To be honest, I don’t remember that far back. It was, like, days ago.

Anyway, Saturday, I ran to get Eric some coffee first thing. We had run out of beans to grind (which he didn’t mention), so he couldn’t make his own. And as we had a social engagement in the evening, I couldn’t afford for him to have a caffeine headache. So off to Tim Horton’s I went.

Then I did normal Saturday things and ran a couple of other errands (including getting more coffee beans) in the afternoon. Saturday evening, we headed over to Karen’s for Jason’s birthday party (he’s 2!). She did a fantastic job with the cake (I hope she uploads pictures), and we had a good time hanging out.

Sunday was church, watching the Olympics and more church. And I did knit a couple more rows on the blanket I may never finish. But I’m now two rows closer to finishing, right?

Today, I’ve tidied the living room (hadn’t done that all weekend) and the kitchen because my MIL is coming to hang out with us for the day. She wouldn’t have minded that either one was messy, but I feel better with them cleaned up. I hope you all are that way when your MIL comes over, too!

So that’s the update. Lucky for all of you, I did fix my typos as I went. Have a great Monday!
