I stayed in bed this morning and didn’t get up to exercise…just because.
I think I’m going to take the babies to a park or the zoo to wander around this morning…just because.
I have no firm to-do list for the day, so whatever I do, it will be…just because I want to. Nice!
Of course I’ll probably need to get some things done since I only have today and tomorrow left to prepare for our first-ever family road trip with babies. But I can’t do a lot of things until tomorrow anyway, so I’m not going to sweat too much about it today!
Wow…look at me be flexible this morning!
Yesterday was a pretty relaxing day. I went to Target and found everything I still needed for our trip this weekend, including a swimshirt for Alex. Yay! Of course, I hung the shirt on my stroller handle and then filled the basket with the rest of my stuff. And I realized just before I got to the door that I hadn’t paid for the shirt! Oops! So back through the line I went. Glad I noticed before I set of an alarm or something!
In the evening, Eric’s brother Ryan was coming over. He’d loaned us the movie Fireproof, so I started watching it in the afternoon so I could give it back to him (Eric watched it without me weeks ago). He ended up showing up around 4:30, while I had about 20 minutes left on the movie. And then Eric didn’t get home until almost 6:00 (very late for him). He told me later he’d forgotten Ryan was coming, so he’d stayed to do a complicated run. Oops.
Anyway, I chatted with Ryan until Eric got home. Then they started tasting teas. They’re both into brewing looseleaf tea these days (thanks to this store at Easton), and Ryan had about 6 different teas for them to taste. Thankfully, they did run and get Chipotle for dinner about halfway through their tastetests. I pretty much minded the babies for the evening. I made for a long evening for me since Ryan didn’t leave until about 8:15. But they had a fun brother time so that was nice.
I started to read Les Miserables for the first time last night. We’ll see how long it takes me to get through it. I was needing a challenge…I think that should cover it!
Okay, I think that’s all the big stuff. Later, taters! Happy Wednesday!
Hmm…I am not a tea drinker but that seems very interesting! 🙂
@Oly16 – I’m with you. I do not drink loose leaf tea, or regular tea, or coffee either. I think tea tastes like boiled grass (or worse). But it makes my husband happy. And I usually take a sip or two if he offers just so I can say I tried it.
@Kdelayne – I’m pretty much open once we get back from Buffalo. Maybe the week of the 13th?
@gsowell – I love the Scarlet Pimpernel. It’s such a good book! (And I saw thought your comment was very well connected!) Oh, and I had a friend request from Mrs. Kinnard on FB this morning…remember all those fun high school plays we were in…fun times!
My dad read Les Mis in Turkey or Kuwait or somewhere when he was away for months at a time. He said he cried like a baby. Then he and my mom saw it together on stage as an anniversary date, and he cried again.
He has such a thing for Javert, the guy who believes in following the law. They’re both tragic characters.
You should consider being this flexible all the time. It’s a real freer-upper!!
Have fun on your weekend jaunt!
Look at you being flexible! Loose-leaf teas are big here.
Speaking of the zoo, Manda called me a week ago and wants to go to the zoo with us . . . we need to figure out a time for that, so I can call her back. Just wanted to post here, so I’d remember next time I talked to you.
I’ve read the Scarlett Pimpernell several times. It always makes me think of Les Mis. That’s completely unrelated, isn’t it? But since you’re being all flexible today, you can roll with such a comment.
Just because days are great! Hope you have fun!! Are you into the loose leaf teas too? I can’t get into the whole tea thing, or coffee for that matter.
i really want to read Les Mis, but it’s just so intimidating! good luck to you!
