Because I can’t form long sentences coherently today…
- I’m really tired today, so the day is going VERY slowly.
- The babies are a bit fussy. It could be reflux. Or it could be that I’m really tired.
- The weekend was good.
- We were at my parents’ house for most of it.
- My dad is doing really well. My mom really enjoyed spending lots of time with the babies, I think.
- We had a shower for the babies on Saturday morning. It had been postponed from last October. It was with my former co-workers, and it was great to see them all again.
- I still have no desire to go back to work with them; I only wish I could see them more regularly!
- My family got together for my birthday on Saturday night. Good times!
- Sunday, we went to my parents’ church to show off the babies. And it was my dad’s first time at church since his surgery. And the sermon was excellent. All good stuff!
- We watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (new one with Johnny Depp) last night. I actually liked it, even with Tim Burton directing. Actually I thought he really captured the feel of Dahl’s story. Surprise, surprise!
I guess that’s all I have for now…happy Monday!
I prefer the original Charlie(but I like both). Hope the babies are less fussy today!
I have a thing for Johnny Depp. I thought his Wonka was awesome.
Fun to have a shower with those folks. I totally understand the “no desire to go back to work with them; I only wish I could see them more regularly!”
Sorry about the grouchiness of the babies. And being tired doesn’t help the situation. I hope you are able to get some rest.
dahl is such an interesting author. i watched willy wonka & the choc. factory for a bit at my parents’ house yesterday. i’ve never seen c & the c.f. all the way through, but i like depp & burton…so maybe i’ll have to watch it sometime soon.
