Huge Praise/Huge Pet Peeve

First the pet peeve: it annoys me that so many people drive on rainy days (like today) without turning on their HEADLIGHTS.  ARGGGGHHHH!!

Okay, I feel better now.

On to the praise.

My dad had an appointment to meet with his knee doctor today, and the outcome of the visit was that the doctor finally admitted that there was no point postponing knee surgery any more.  They can now begin to discuss surgery (one knee or both) and when (as early as Dec. 11, as late as January).  This is a HUGE step that we have been waiting, literally, years to reach.  And I am very glad!

One day, in the not too distant future, my dad won’t walk like an 80-year-old man (he’s 58).  YAY!!!

  1. When you say discussing doing one or both knees do you mean both at one time?  I had both of my knees replaced 4 years ago and I had the option of one at a time or both together and I did both together.  It was tough but I highly recommend it, esp a man.  Men had stronger upper body strength and seem to do better ( my dad had both done too and he did better than I did).  I’m glad I had them done but I can honestly say I am glad I didn’t have to go through it twice.  I was 45 when I had mine done but mine we in horrible shape and he felt my quality of life would be better having them done then rather than continuing the way I was and waiting till I was older.
