Big, Black Ants
I haven’t had ants in my house for a couple of years. But apparently, all the recent rains sent our neighborhood ants looking for a dry, warm place to be. And they have decided my kitchen is a lovely place to hang out. I, however, disagree.
They first appeared last Friday evening. We squished them. And we realized that our plan to deep-clean the kitchen on Saturday couldn’t have come at a better time. So we cleaned. And killed a few ants in the process. And cleaned some more. By Saturday evening, all was quiet. They were biding their time.
The first two reappeared yesterday afternoon. This morning, between 6:55 and 7:00 a.m., I had killed seven more. I guess I will have to go on the offensive, now.
So, I’ve already cleaned up the kitchen and swept the floor in there. And as I despise sharing my kitchen with tiny black creatures, I may need to make a trip somewhere to find some ant traps or bait. But for now, I will simply content myself with stomping on them every chance I get.

Grrrrrr to ants, I have had some problems with ants recently. The bug man is coming soon so hopefully that will be the end of them. Mwah ha ha ha ha!
Is that why the ants are so bad? We’ve never had them in our house but all of a sudden a couple weeks ago they showed up. YUCK!!

If you continue to have those pesky black ants you might want to have a pest company look at them…some of them eat wood.
We get ants every so often, too. I find it is usually when it hasn’t rained in awhile for us. They come in looking for water. Just can’t keep them happy, huh?
ants are stupid. we have the itsy bitsy ones in our bathrooms and our kitchen, though. i think i’d much rather have small ones than those big suckers. those are gross. good luck!
With all that extra belly, those ants should squish pretty easy!! I hope you are able to get something to help control them soon. Ants make you think everything is dirty even if it isn’t!

I hate ants to and we get them for just a few weeks in the late spring. I’ve found the best stuff is called Terro? or Taro? But you being pregnant should check it out first cause I know it is pretty potent stuff. But we found it is the only thing that really took care of them.
Hope the ants are soon gone! I’m with BE, exterminate them ASAP!
We have the same problem at our house! And these ants are getting huge! Hopefully, that doesn’t mean they’re eating a bunch of our food and bulking up before we find and kill them!!
i know that most ants are relatively harmless, but i still can’t stand them! ick!!! go get some ant traps! kill those little suckers!
