So I had a good start to my post this morning when Karen’s dumb laptop erased it because I was trying to see the smileys pop-up box. Grrr…
Yesterday wasn’t terribly exciting, really. The baby doesn’t seem to be too unwell. His temperature is a few degrees above normal, but nothing that raises any real concern. I did have to take his temp. once yesterday, and I think that I’ll just do armpit readings whenever whe have kids!
But overall, he slept well and ate well, so I can’t complain too much.
I was having some trouble with the excessively loud PA system that the elementary schools nearby were using for field day yesterday. The voice was audible inside the house (though the words weren’t clear), but it was enough to mess with the dog. I spent much of the morning trying to keep Maggie from barking at the disembodied voice she was hearing. Dumb dog…
Last evening, I washed up the dishes and then Eric and I ran some errands. We stopped at AutoZone and Home Depot. Then we came home and watched a Good Eats. Then we went to bed. Apparently this early wake-up schedule is starting to mess with Eric’s sleep, too. So we crashed about 9:30. Lovely!
And finally, just for fun, here is a little thing my brother sent in an email yesterday. I decided to to respond to his email, but since he reads my blogs, he can see my answers here!
A) FOUR PLACES I GO OVER AND OVER: Church, Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Kroger
@filledeparis – You totally need to see them both at least once. I much prefer National Treasure. I love Riley! He’s got great one liners.
I meant to tell this to you yesterday or at least this morning. I, too, used to be an armpit temperature girl. It’s all I did (when I’d actually check his temp) until J got sick this time around. The thing is it takes like 10-15 seconds longer to take a temperature with the armpit and with a baby moving around all the time that makes it hard to get a great read, it was under 10 seconds if I did it the other way. Fast and accurate.
I don’t do surveys, but I find peoples answers interesting!!
I’m glad J’s feeling better…I think Trisha’s kids (and maybe even herself) may have colds. They are NOT fun!!
@gsowell – Don’t worry if you don’t do the list…I just put down some names of people who often like to do the surveys themselves. I hate that question and that it is included on EVERY survey!
@ch1pch0p – Beef Stew is yummy! It was what I ordered on my first date with Eric. He noticed.
@bethelaine – You’re right, BE! I so should’ve included chocolate chips on that list…what what I thinking?!?
We used to live across from an elementary school. I sooooo understand the field day noise!
I don’t know if I’ll be a first to respond…my kids are home from school today. Election day. So I’m a bit busy!
I was thinking you need to cut out the beef stew. Ick!
Now I feel inclined to discover National Treasure and Stranger than Fiction. Glad the baby seems better!
@bethelaine – I was thinking the same thing about the food selections!
now i have to edit my post to include this little survey! i’ll do it after my meeting!
you need to pick some new favorite foods. your selections are FAR too healthy!
