The quick recap:

  • Looked up writing stuff
  • Graded
  • Tidied the house
  • Cleaned up the kitchen counters
  • Collected recyclables and loaded them in my car
  • Refilled bird feeder
  • Had lunch
  • Knitted for bit
  • Dropped off recyclables
  • Put gas in my car
  • Stopped at Karen’s for a couple of hours (Maggie camped on my lap for her afternoon nap)
  • Chatted with Eric when I got home
  • Goofed off for a while
  • Made breakfast for dinner
  • Knitted while watching television with Eric until bedtime

So that was my day.  Eric had one of his (unusual) bad days at work, so he came and needed to vent.  He’d even missed lunch!  And the run he was doing crashed on him after finishing 10 of the 11 layers of metal he was putting on it.    So today will mostly be spent trying to find the problem and fixing it.

Looks like the drive to CU will be potentially dangerous.  Madison County is on a level 1 snow emergency. But I cannot cancel class today, so I’ll just have to drive slowly.  Still…I don’t like driving on bad roads.  I don’t like driving oh-so-slow.  I don’t like risking head and hand.  I do not like it, Sam-I-am.

EDIT: I’ve arrived at work with very little difficulty.  The interstate was pretty much clear.  Lovely!

Okay, enough creativity for this hour of the morning!  I need to get on with my day.  Hope you all have a lovely morning…Happy Wednesday!

  1. Eric’s is a physicist by degree, and his job title is Research Scientist.  He works in a clean room doing microfabrication, which is a fancy way of saying he puts insanely small meshes (think screen door) on things for people.

Oh, and he says that rocket science isn’t really that hard.

  2. ^ He’s a rocket scientist.  Or at least that’s what we call him. ^

Hope your drive goes well and you can go above the 25 mph on almost completely clear roads I went this morning!!
