Eric left pretty early this morning, expecting to experience mediocre roads and really bad drivers on them. And frankly, it didn’t look that bad out there. Still, I’m glad I don’t have to drive to CU today.
So – since yesterday was so crazy for me, here’s a quick recap of my recent activities:
Weekend: On Friday, we went to the mall to buy Eric a bunch of new things that he needed. Saturday was spent mostly cleaning, though I did have a baby shower to go to in the afternoon. Sunday was church and a bit of grading and some goofing off.
Yesterday: Other than classes, which seemed to go fine, it was pretty busy. Because we were taking dinner to the couple who just had a baby, I had a plan for the afternoon, which included a stop at Kroger in London. Unfortunately, there was an accident on 42, just before the Kroger (someone rear-ended someone else) so getting there took about 15 minutes longer than it should have. But I still made it home in good time. I made a chicken casserole and took salad, applesauce, and bread to go with it. Since the couple lives about 30 minutes from our house, Eric drove with me, so we got to hang out together and chat with our friends. I got to hold the baby, too. He’s tiny and a little squirmy…so cute! Then we got home, ate our own dinner, and crashed.
Today, I have some cleaning to do around the house. Eric has been patching holes and cracks in the house in preparation for some painting we want to do, so my house is greatly disordered right now. But I’ll just clean around the mess! And since Karen has the day off (Erik, too), maybe I’ll chat with her sometime. Oh, and I do need to go get Eric’s Valentine’s Day present.
So, that’s it…Happy Tuesday!
What a sexy profile pic!!! You’re adorable.
I forgot to say, I lovvvvvve your new shot. You’re so pretty!
I need my husband to take up photography. I need a new good profile pic.
No use cleaning around a mess. Slack off and clean it all after he cleans up his mess!
love your profile pic!!!
The photo is, indeed, the result of my husband’s most recent shoot. He’s learning to play with lighting and posed shots. Then he was playing with the pics and discovered that b/w is absolutely fabulous for me!
Oooh, love the profile pic!
I was going to ask about the Valentine’s Day present but you beat me to it! Don’t clean too much because it’s a snow day!!
^ I was just about to say that. ^
I’m guessing Eric had another photography shoot?
your new pic is very pretty. 🙂
^ Yep, that’s Karen! ^
And I’m Karen’s cousin, Kimberly. We met at Krista’s briefly! small world…
Hey there! I was classmates with Karen at Cedarville– and have spoken with you a couple of times at Cedarville Homecomings. My name is Maren…don’t know if you remember me or not… Just found your blog today through Marla’s! Hope you don’t mind me stopping by! Was your shower for Karen? I saw your pics and wondered if she was the shower recipient?!?!?!? Does Karen have a blog too? I thought she may be KDelaney, but didn’t know for sure, so didn’t want to bug that person if it wasn’t. Happy Tuesday!
You were on my prayer list last night. Just FYI.
Thank you for a timely post!
Sounds like you have a not-too-busy-but-rewarding day planned. perfect!!!!
I’m going to buy Eric the Camelback backpack he pointed out to me the other day for his Death Valley hiking trip in March.
I am so glad I talked Kevin into no V-Day gifts! One less thing to buy!
Happy cleaning and Valentine’s shopping! Do you know what you want to get?
Your weekend sounds delightful, like there was some relaxation. We didn’t have much of that this time.
