So nothing terribly exciting to report today, I guess. Let’s see what I can think of…
- Two students finished Basic yesterday. They are dropping like flies now (yippee!!!), which does make class a little less frantic most days. That’s nice.
- Two of my Basic guys were downright rude about the OSU loss, and it annoyed me. I try very hard not to be one of “those” fans who are so obnoxious and give the Buckeye fans in general a bad name. So when they came in, rubbing in the loss as if I had been rubbing in the team’s victories…I was a tad irked. But, like the loss…I’m over it now!
- One Comp student missed his peer workshop yesterday. I still haven’t heard from him, so I have no idea why. But it meant we got done about 15 minutes early! Woohoo!
- I had an advising meeting yesterday, and then a meeting with a Comp student. I am just so dang helpful, I don’t know how people put up with me!

- Grad class (sorry Terri) wasn’t terribly anything. It did take the whole time, but I tried really hard not to zone out. It only happened once, for a very short time, so I think I did well. And, I only have a couple of things left to work on. As annoying as the “workshop” method of this class as been, having lots of time to just write stuff has been very nice!
- I beat Eric home last night. He was invited to sit in the Executive box at Nationwide for a Blue Jackets game. It’s pretty swanky, and the food is free. His brother was his connection, so I think he had a good time, even though he couldn’t care less about hockey (and they lost). He also got his tux and sports coat back yesterday, so he was excited about that, too.
Well, I guess I came up with a few things to tell you. Off to my stuff to do…happy Tuesday!
Actually, I was a grad school last night, so Eric was on his own for dinner anyway!
But you’re right…I’m a pretty blessed woman!
Yeah, I think Shannah is living right.
OK, let me get this straight.
1. Being the caring teacher you are, you’re thrilled a student didn’t show so you could go home early? (I used to pray for a flu epidemic…)
2.You’re getting most of your grad work done IN class? SWEET!
3. Eric ate at the hockey game so you didn’t have to cook??
You’re doing VERY well!!
At CU: 4 days until Thanksgiving, then 6 more until Finals.
At UD: 3 actual classes, then our paper is due the 10th.
WOOHOO!!!
EVERYONE should try to be more like Shannah!
How many days of class do you have left?
i thought about you this morning when i was rushing around, trying to get my shirt ironed, while brushing my teeth at the same time. i thought, “i should really be more like shannah.”
