A tuxedo and some pictures…

My day wasn’t very eventful yesterday.  I survived all my classes, had lunch with my mom, went to UD, and got out of class early. Yippee!   Eric, on the other hand, had a very eventful day.  During a trip to Men’s Wearhouse, he bought himself a tuxedo of his very own (with all the trappings, too) and a sports coat.

He did decide to think about the overcoat for the tuxedo (apparently you should never get them wet).  And he told the salesman that I should probably not let him go there by himself very often.  Of course, I actually wish he’d buy new clothes more regularly (his tastes are very good, but he doesn’t like to shop), and the tux was a requirement for this year’s Christmas program. But still…his day was much more exciting than mine!

Anyway, on to pictures of our loft “remodeling” project:

DURING:

AND AFTER!!!

We absolutely love it, too!  The project turned out exactly as we’d hoped and is exactly what we wanted.  We’re still working on the little details of the project (filling drawers/shelves/etc), but the technology is running again.  So it’s very, very nice!

  1. No…actually I just held up cabinets when necessary.  Eric did all the hard stuff (ie, everything else!).  But I will have much more to do with the moving stuff back into those cabinets.

I think my work has just begun!

  2. I just tore a picture out of the newspaper of my dream home office about a month ago.  Your loft looks just like my picture (except the picture I had used white cabinets, but otherwise, they’re identical).  It looks fabulous!  WOW!  Congratulate your handy hubby for the great job (and yourself, as I’m sure you did a LOT of work)!

  3. Oh, my, what a difference! I love to see a man with a level.

Our oldest had to have a tux for concerts as a music major. He called in a panic one night: he’d lost the pants…needed new ones. I have NEVER asked how or where he lost those tux pants……..
