Yesterday was another of those continuous days…so I didn’t have time to post until it was too late to bother! But don’t worry…I’m back today!
Of course, my busy-ness yesterday does not mean that I have exciting things to share today. There were the usual (drive to CU, work in my office, go to class). There were a few different things (a trip to the library, a quick meeting with my Dept. Chair, opening some packages which are always examination copies of textbooks that I didn’t request). My classes went well. I went over the basics of the library, bibliographies and citations in Basic English. I gave my Comp students an entire list of revision techniques that they can use for their papers (and then made them work on revision in class, of course!).
My mom had a lunch meeting yesterday, so I went over to her office after my last class to say hi and to vote for my favorite carpet swatch. She’s redoing the carpet in the kitchen/eating area, and we’ve been voting on our favorites every time she brings a sample home. I think we’ve found the right one. Of course, I chatted with people (and her, obviously) until 4:45, so I didn’t get home until late. But we had a quick dinner, then Eric headed off for orchestra and I just goofed off for the rest of the evening.
I know…you so envy my life, don’t you?
Don’t worry, my chat with Kevin was about next year. That conversation is a Spring semester tradition we have!
I DO envy your life…no complaining from ADULTS (who should know better by this time in their life) about things that are part of their jobs!! That isn’t why you had to talk to the department chair, was it?!
^Wait until you have 3 small people who require ALL your energy all day long. 8:45 is SACRED time!^
^ wow, you get grouchy at night, don’t you? ^
It’s not that I WANT your life. I just like to escape from mine and live vicariously through you for a few minutes each day.
And I don’t care whose turn it is to turn off the light. Just GET IN BED!
^ whose turn it is to turn off the light? really?? ^
I wondered where you were yesterday. You’ve become a constant, you know? I don’t like change.
Your life sounds fun to me…it is different than mine! No diapers, no tears in the middle of the night, no fights over whose turn it is to turn off the light…must I go on?
It’s probably a nice break (“hiatus”) for you to not have that to think about each week!
What?! Don’t you have drama on Wednesday nights while Eric has orchestra?! I thought I was up on your life!!
