A crazy, busy weekend!
- Friday night: Eric worked and I cleaned the house. We watched Pirates of the Caribbean 2.
- Saturday: got up, exercised, my in-laws came by, ran around with them, they left about 2:30. Left at 4:30 for Cedarville. Had Karen’s birthday party. Lots of fun. Came home, went to bed.
- Sunday: Got to church about 8:00. Didn’t stay through both services (they told the orchestra they wanted them to stay right before the second service…we left anyway). Had dinner. Eric’s friend, Corey, arrived. He stayed until 6:30. Karen & Erik came over (and another couple). We had supper and played a game. The other couple left. We played another game and watched tv until midnight, kissed, cleaned up, went to bed.
- Monday: got around and went to Ryan’s (by BIL) house for a midday dinner, stayed until 4 or so, came home and sorted out the gifts from under the tree, had supper, cleaned up my kitchen, and did a few other little jobs before bed.
All I can say is that I’m ready for some routine again! I’ve been wanting to do a whole list of things but have had or been company for the last few days, so they’ve alll had to wait! Today’s agenda isn’t totally fixed yet, but it will probably include laundry and starting to take down Christmas decorations. I also have to call the doctor (I had a physical on Friday morning) to ask him about the unusual results from my bloodwork (I have high cholesterol); I’m interested to see what he says!
Good luck on getting all your projects done that you have had to put off for one reason or another!!
^^ I wonder if we get that “holiday” off… ^^
Schedules are nice…although I’m counting the days until my next day off. MLK Jr day is Monday, January 15!
I was just saying that I was ready for a schedule again. Not necessarily work, but I find I am not as productive without routine.
You ARE slackers! Clean those carpets! Although, our speed may have been due to having two dogs – your carpets probably don’t look as awful as ours did!
Donna’s having surgery, not Kayla. If it were Kayla, I probably could be more specific on the kind. Jim and Donna have a lot of procedures done (being a bit older than Kayla – their bodies are wearing down a little more than hers), so I didn’t catch exactly what this one is for.
Getting back to normal will be nice for us, too. I hope you have a great week! When do you have to go back to school?
I’m glad the business is over, too, although I really enjoyed being with Kyle and Kayla for seven out of the last fourteen days! I wish we could do that all the time!
