I felt like doing something more adventurous on Xanga today since I don’t have much to say really!
Yesterday, I didn’t end up going anywhere. I stayed home and got some other things done. I cleaned all my bathrooms and did the laundry (except the ironing clothes). I even put them away!!!
I also made cookies: molasses cut-out cookies and a caramel nut bar that my mom makes sometimes. Eric needed these cookies for his christmas luncheon at work today, so I wanted to send something a little “special” for his co-workers to be utterly impressed by!
After supper, Eric watched TV and played on the computer. I listened to the show while I iced cookies. Then I sat down and watched Dirty Jobs with him. But we’d seen the last segment of that episode, so I went upstairs about 8:50, brushed my teeth, hopped into bed and read for a few minutes. Eric joined me shortly and then…lights out for us!
On the schedule for today: finish Christmas shopping, wrap gifts, finish laundry and iron, do some vacuuming, and whatever else comes to mind. I might sit down and read for a while, too, but we’ll see!
shut up
Good point, Karen! I do believe that means you are not, in fact, ignoring it! You’re just trying not to think about it, and honestly, not trying very hard since you’re talking about it!
^If you comment on the fact that you are ignoring something, doesn’t that contradict the comment you are making?^
I believe Trisha’s point limit (without being pregnant or nursing) was 22ish, so yes, more than her limit.
I’m ignoring all the flag waving comments.
I have molasses cut-out cookies at home, uniced, which is fine with me because I like them better that way, especially if I zap them in the microwave for a few minutes.
Wow that is alot of points, and more than you’re technically allowed to eat in one day if I’m correct.
Did you ever have pizza at Kings Island? That’s LaRosa’s. I personally don’t like their pizza, but I (usually) love their calzones! It’s a definite plus when they bake them all the way. But maybe they were just trying to help me not eat too much, as one of their 3-meat, 3-cheese calzones is (gulp) 66 points on Weight Watchers! I can’t believe they can pack that many calories into something not that big!!
^For once!^
Oh…and I think you all have dirty minds because we actually did go to sleep when the lights went out!
Yeah…and it helps that those platters (one of which is blue with snowmen on it!) were a gift from the Battelle people!
Nothing like “giving back”!
^They always are^ Did you send them in on your cute decorative plaatter? I love that you have seasonal platters – I think that’s my favorite wedding gift you got. I should start collecting those to give as gifts myself. But, I never think that far ahead.
Also, I’m sure Eric’s co-workers will be blown away by your extraordinary baking abilities!!
Clearly it was the colors, Gail! Although, I, too, noticed the “lights out”, not “going to sleep” or something else like that!
Definitely make time to sit down and read – you’re on vacation!!
Lights out at 9:00 does not mean the same thing as sleeping at 9:00.
So what was so adventurous: the color choices, the risque allusion to your bedroom activities, or having the post finished before 7:00 AM?
