Eric already gave me his present this morning: a cashmere sweater and a gc for a massage. I am way pumped about both of them. In fact, I think I’m going to have to make a trip to the dry cleaners so that I can wear my new sweater tomorrow!
Other than that, the morning hasn’t been too exciting. I exercised outside (it only rained on me a little bit), and I put the garbage out when I got back from my walk. Then I got ready, had breakfast, loaded the dishwasher, did my bible study, and read my email. Now I’m here!
I do think I’m going to run some errands later this morning, but I think that I’m going to take my grading to the library to do. Sometimes it helps me focus if I don’t have such distractions like the tv and easy internet access. But I’m also planning to go to the dry cleaners (see above) and WalMart sometime today.
I don’t have any big plans for my birthday, though. We’ve been out to eat every night this week, and I’m tired of take-out/eat-out. So I think I’m just going to have dinner here tonight. My family is coming up here tomorrow night for a small party (and Kelly thinks I’m going to have a Dora cake…I think she’s going to be disappointed!). Other than that, it’s a grown-up birthday, so it won’t be that exciting. Wait…maybe I’ll get my car washed today! That will add lost of birthday excitement!
Sometimes comments make me laugh out loud, too! Usually I’m at work, so people just think I’m weird!
Happy Birthday, Nan!
We have funny cousins. I should go to Trisha’s site to give her props about the Kim on the basketball. Comments like that make me laugh at loud. And Erik wonders why I am on here at night…
Happy Birthday!!!
It sounds like a very nice birthday…ENJOY!! And enjoy the evening tomorrow with the family. Sometimes it’s nice to spread out the birthday fun!!
Just for fun – I think it needs said again! Kim tried to stand on a basketball, and she fell off!!!! There must be a reason we don’t stand on round things!
I broke my wrist, but I didn’t hit my head. There was the time I got hit in the face with the softball, though.
You don’t remember when I fell off the basketball. I was watching Mom do the dishes or something. I wasn’t very old. It was when the Robeys lived next door.
Happy Birthday!
I’m sorry? Falling off the basketball??? Remember the one time you fell off the couch and broke your arm or something? That was funny.
and Michelle, this worries me. I’ve hit my head a couple times, too. Falling off the basketball and the accident.
There was the time her nose wouldn’t stop bleeding at a Little League game…is that what you’re thinking of, Trisha?
I’ll respond to Michelle’s comment on here for some more eProps (don’t you wish you’d get a better birthday present?). Michelle, didn’t you also fall off the slide at the elementary school playground? Or did you just bloody your nose that time? I seem to remember an ambulance being called, but maybe I’m thinking of something else.
I’m just commenting again to give you eprops … since it’s your birthday and all!!
I think you have already done way too much for a birthday girl! Good thing you don’t live in NC — it is suppossed to be much too warm for a sweater today (almost 70 degrees)!
I do wonder if I might get Alzheimer’s early. They also say head injuries increase the likelihood that you’ll get it. Since I had two before the age of 25 (falling out of bed and getting hit by a car for those of you racking your brains), I think I have a good chance!
Is that an award a person should be proud of???
Happy Birthday!!!! And I think you should reconsider on the Dora cake!
I also want to make certain everyone knows I did not actually take the garbage out, but I did remind Kyle when I got home yesterday, when I went to bed, and I asked him if he did it when he came in to bed. I think, overall, I actually did more work than he did on getting it out to the curb!
Getting your car washed is exciting! I did that last Sunday, and I loved looking at my car the rest of the day!
Anyway…HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
(and I understand what you meant about eating out…sometimes, it just becomes too much.)
